What customers say

This clean, well-kept site offers spacious spots & great amenities, especially the praised restrooms & showers. Guests loved the lake for swimming/fishing, the playground, and the peaceful rural setting near Ledbury. Staff are always friendly & helpful. Most had a great time, though some felt a few facilities needed updating, and occasional guest noise was noted.

Liked Nice clean site

Disliked Only 1 male and 1 female toilet/shower open out of 9 I dont like to have to watch out for when I can use the facilities.

From the manager: Thanks for your feedback, and we are sorry our site isn't for you. We do close some of our toilets and showers down during the quieter off peak times, we had a total of 8 people on the cider mill field that night, and had 2 showers, 3 toilets and 1 urinal open for our campers. Its a really tricky time during the off peak season as to whether its cost effective to stay open, but we do try for our loyal customers. Please always speak to us, we always welcome visitors with 'please don't suffer in silence, speak to us with any problems' and we are usually quick to help.

We are sorry again that our site isn't for you.

Liked Nice location, very quiet as it was a Sunday evening. Chose this site because it had a swimming lake/large pond which we swam in on Monday morning. Facilities were good.
Would stay here again if passing through.

Liked We have just returned from a three night stay on the cider mill campsite. This is a loverly site with friendly staff, we checked in and was greeted by friendly staff and showed to our pitch. It was clean and we could park right next to it, the toilets and wash was clean and well lit which was great if the kids needed to use during the night as we could see where we was pitched.

We took our dogs and was some loverly tracks within the grounds, we fished and caught some nice carp of the surface with bread.

We also hired the fire pits available on site for £5 per night and had the pizza from the van which is cooked in a clay oven.

Will definitely be booking again next year

Liked Relaxed atmosphere - lovely dog walk in the conservation area and enjoyed swimming in the lake.
Friendly staff.

Disliked Had to pick up litter on the pitch we chose before setting up.
Litter left around the lake.
Had to keep hand on the press tap while showering.
It was quiet when we stayed but if it had been busy then the shower\toilet facilities would have been insufficient.
Can only empty green waste (couldn’t empty our toilet cassette as we had put blue chemical in it before arrival)

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Beautiful setting with lovely facilities ( showers and Loos), lake to swim in for people and dogs.
Pizza van on the Friday night was a great addition , friendly owners , very clean and tidy and relaxing site.
Nearby to Farmhouse/ garden shop with cafe serving big variety of food, plenty of seating in and outdoors.
Locality to interesting places , easy to visit. Less than 10 mins to train station .
Good walks for dogs directly from campsite.

Disliked Nothing we disliked , just needed to be mindful that parts of the field were too bumpy to put a tent

Local attractions

Nearby Ledbury is a lovely little market town famed for its cobbled streets and black and white timber-framed buildings: look out for and take a snap of the Market House in the town centre. The town is at almost equal distance from the cathedral towns or 'Three Counties' of Gloucester, Hereford and Worcester and a day should surely be had at each: Gloucester for its Harry Potter-scened cathedral and many museums; Hereford for the Old House, Hereford Cider Museum and Hereford Cathedral's Mappa Mundi; and Worcester for its library The Hive and the Three Choirs Festival (Worcester Cathedral by night is a spectacular sight too). The countryside surrounding Woodside Country Park is known for its Herefordshire sights like hopyards, cider orchards and Hereford cattle, while walkers and cyclists come to this part of the land to hike or bike the Malvern Hills and the Forest of Dean.
