What customers say
Castleton Camping: Stunning, secluded spot below Mam Tor, great for hikers. Praised for amazing views, peacefulness, and clean facilities (new toilets!). Friendly owner Katie is a gem. Good value, though no showers. Basic, but popular for return visits, despite occasional noise or uneven ground.

Primitive grass campervan campsite
Liked Great little campsite! It’s basic, but everything it has is clean and tidy.
When we arrived there was a pop up coffee van outside, didn’t try it but looked nice.
Showers would finish this site off perfectly.

Primitive grass campervan campsite
Liked Sooo peaceful and amazing views!
Not a busy campsite which was lovely, it felt very private and there was zero noise, you’re surrounded by amazing views in every direction. Toilets were very clean and well stocked!
20 min walk into casltleton which has some great pubs and cafes, also very close to so many amazing walks in the peaks. Definitely will be back!
Disliked Although there aren’t many people at the site it could do with a couple more toilets as there can be a bit of a wait in the mornings.
Would be great if there was potential for a few showers in the future so we can stop more than one night😊
