Primitive grass campsite
Liked Easy to find, close to the local pub.
Disliked Just not enough showers and toilets for the amount of people there.
Over 50 tents, 2 female toilets.
Toilets weren't overly clean, unfortunately.
People playing music late, even though we selected it for being a quiet campsite.

Peaceful friendly campsite
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Beautifully kept field campsite with well spaced pitches and clean and modern facilities. Even though we visited in peak season and it was full, the whole site has a lovely peaceful welcoming vibe. We appreciated the dog walk field to exercise our pup. The warden, Donna, was really helpful finding me some gaffa tape when we had a kit emergency which was really lovely. We didn’t make it to The Bulls Head Inn but it looked nice. We had a brilliant meal at The Barrel Inn 10 mins away at the top of the opposite hill (we’ve been there three times in recent years and always had a great meal/drink with a view). Really well located for both White and Dark Peaks if walking is your thing.
Disliked A few people have commented on needing more toilets etc which would be helpful but we really didn’t need to wait long for either.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked Quiet, plenty of space and great toilets and showers. Also liked that you could hire a firepit with wood, firelighters etc all provided.
The local pub - The Bulls Head - is a short walk away and a great place for a couple of drinks.
Also walked over the fields to Eyam to the crafts place there for a coffee and shopping.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked Really nice camping grounds, with clean facilities (which is rare to find). Friendly wardens, overall great stay.
Disliked Only minor change would be to make sign at gate bigger as it is easily missed.

From the manager: Hi Thank you for taking the time to review our site.
I am glad you would like to visit again and our wardens are a real asset to us!
The sign at the end if very small, this is very much a noted comment on your behalf.
