What customers say
Newfold Farm boasts a gorgeous Peak District spot, ideal for hikers with direct trail access. Guests rave about the new, clean restrooms, helpful staff, and the on-site cafe/pizza oven. While some noted dated pitches/restrooms and occasional noise, the overall vibe is great, with many planning to return.

Grouse primitive grass tent campsite
Liked This is a beautiful campsite, located right at the start of the Pennine way and in the heart of the Peak District. The location couldn't be better for hikers - with Mam Tor behind you and Kinder Scout ahead. Also with two welcoming pubs nearby and on-site cafe and general store, you have everything you need for a relaxing getaway. The facilities were well-maintained and clean, with hot showers, pot washing stations and outdoor taps to clean your muddy boots after the trails. I stayed as a solo camper in December and felt completely safe throughout my visit. Overall, ensuring that your stay is comfortable without losing that authentic outdoor feel.
One of the highlights was at night. Thanks to the lack of light pollution and buildings, you could see countless stars in the night sky. All in all, this campsite is a showcase of natural beauty.

Liked Excellent facilities, friendly welcome, nice vibe all round
Disliked Really sharp large stones on the hardstanding pitch, the camper pitches could do with some groundwork. Its neither smoothly grassy nor nicely gravelled.
