What customers say

Great views, quiet vibes, and plenty of room on site. Friendly staff, tasty cafe food, and a top spot for exploring Swanage. Facilities are basic but clean, though some mention shower tokens. A few found pitches sloped or busy, but most loved it and plan to go back.

Unpowered grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent site

Liked The cafe breakfast was nice

Disliked Showers were 50p for four minutes not 50p per use. Wash up area was out side with not shelter at all. We go stuck in a storm and the staff stood and didn’t offer any help.

Unpowered grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent site

Liked We stayed on the main field. we liked the rural feel.

Disliked Shower token system is brutal. Worst of all worlds - a timer - no heat adjustment - and you can only buy tokens at certain times of the day. Consistently no soap in men's bathroom for 48 hours.
No organisation of pitches. Getting on and off in late august was tricky - people were getting pushed on and off site because of the slope and the mud. Hosts seemed absent - no one around after 6pm. Rules for noise etc are different on pitchup (no music) to on site (no music after 10pm).
I'm sorry to seem like a downer on it, but after a summer of camping at around 12 different sites, this is the first one that has disappointed.
Great cafe though.

Unpowered grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent site

Liked Toilets and showers clean.
Cafe lovely, good range of food options and camping gear if you need tent pegs, sleeping bag etc they have it. The breakfasts looked amazing.

Disliked There is a slight incline but its not impossible to find a flat area on outside of field. Can't really say its a dislike. But that is the only thing that comes to mind.

Local attractions

With a long sandy beach and shallow waters, Swanage is a popular destination for a family day at the seaside. And when you’re all beached out, you can head to Prince Albert Gardens for views of the Victorian pier and Swanage Bay, or take a ride on the Swanage Railway's heritage trains all the way to Corfe Castle and beyond. Overlooked by the ruins of 11th-century Corfe Castle, Dorset Adventure Park (10 minutes’ drive) is the place to get wet (at the inflatable water park) and/or muddy (at the assault course with cargo nets, monkey bars and mud slides). If you’re into militaria, you'll likely appreciate the displays at The Tank Museum (25 minutes), which include armoured vehicles from both World Wars, plus other conflicts like the wars in the Gulf and Afghanistan. Iconic Jurassic Coast destinations Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are half an hour's drive away.
