Lovely, peaceful spot with spacious, tidy pitches and beautiful gardens. Friendly locals and the bar get a shout-out. Facilities are clean but basic; showers can be hit-and-miss with temp and hot water. Great for walks. Good value and many keen to return.

Great go to site has everything we needed

Liked Nice size and level gravel pitches with EHU, nice walks , very helpful friendly staff, enjoyed clubhouse and warm welcome there. Lovely grounds. Easy check-in. Great communication. Loved that we could bring our dogs, Loved the site and will use again but definately not in high season which is just due to lack of toilets/showers if busy.
Disliked Same as other reviews lack of toilets if site busy, dated but were absolutely fine and plenty hot water. Due to this would use mainly out of season but will definately be returning again and again and though narrow entrances you just go slow - do not go down satchel lane like we did as dead end and nowhere to turn so had to reverse caravan onto main road, that was due to ignoring sites instructions and following our caravan Sat nav so our fault entirely.

Liked Very peaceful and clean site set in beautiful grounds. Visited the social club and had an enjoyable evening and the residents’ made us feel welcome.
You can hear the occasional small plane from the nearby airfield but infrequent and not intrusive. It was lovely listening to the owls. Only stayed one night but wished it was longer. Will definitely be returning.

From the manager: Dear Sue
We really appreciate that you have taken the time to leave us this lovely review.
The site is situated in a beautiful location and I love it that you was able to hear the owls on the estate - in late spring/summer the Nightingales visit and they nest in the small woodlands almost opposite the campsite - they sound amazing. We are very lucky and it makes up for the occasional plane that passes over.
We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Liked Peaceful little site, nice walks through the woods.
Disliked Only thing that wasn't ideal was the distance from the waste disposal point was a little too far.

Liked Nice location & quiet - facilities basic, but no problem with that
Disliked The Elsan point needs urgent attention - frankly its disgusting, seems to be blocked, it's the worst I've ever come across.. and we camp in France .
No one around to point this out to, albeit it must be known about

Lovely find

Liked The setting is beautiful! A walk through the Japanese garden leads you to the woods. Here your dog can run free as you stroll the myriad of paths, laden in the autumn leaves.
The pitches are spacious hard standing with grass areas and the washup, showers & toilets are perfectly clean.
Great campsite for sightseeing, Guildford & the popular market town Horsham are close by. Worthing & Brighton are not too far by road either. Or jump on the train at Horsham and you are in London in less than an hour.
WiFi is very poor but I'm not complaining because it's nice to put the tec down for a few days.
Disliked The elsan needs to be improved 😬 .

From the manager: Dear Linda
Thank you for a great review your comments are greatly appreciated.
We are glad to hear that you was happy with the pitch, facilities and our Japanese Garden.
Springbok campsite is set in a perfect location for sightseeing and if you would like to leave the car and explore the surroundings we have some fabulous walks through the estate into Sidney Woods.
Sorry to hear about the Elsan, we had a similar complaint around the same time from another campsite guest. Regrettably for us not all of our guests leave the facilities as we would wish to find them.
We hope to see you again soon?
