We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the peaceful setting, beautiful walks, surrounding nature, and that you found our team welcoming and polite. It's also great to know that our toilet facilities were clean and tidy throughout your stay.

Thank you also for your feedback regarding the opening hours and food service. We regularly review our opening times throughout the season to ensure they reflect guest demand. During quieter periods, unfortunately there are occasions when demand is simply too low for us to open the kitchen every evening, as we have to balance this with the cost of staffing and food preparation.

Our bar is open daily from 9:30am to 3:00pm, then Monday to Saturday it reopens from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. On Sundays, the bar is open from 5:00pm to 9:00pm only. While food isn't currently served on Sunday evenings, we're fortunate that our local takeaway will deliver directly to the campsite entrance, providing guests with another convenient dining option.

Liked The site staff were very friendly. Location for us was absolutely fantastic. The pitch was perfect and great value for money.

Disliked Just could do with a little lighting around the shower block so torches were not needed late on.

We're delighted to hear that you found our team friendly, enjoyed our location, and felt your pitch was perfect and represented great value for money. It's wonderful to know you had an enjoyable stay with us.

Thank you also for your comments regarding the lighting around the shower block. As we are located within a designated Dark Sky area, our planning permission does not allow the use of floodlighting or excessive external lighting, helping to protect the natural environment and reduce light pollution. However, our toilet blocks are fitted with low-level up-and-down lighting that complies with our planning approval and provides guidance to the facilities.

For this reason, we do advise guests to bring and use a torch during the hours of darkness, and you'll find a number of reminder signs displayed around the site. While we appreciate this may be different from some campsites, it allows us to preserve the wonderful dark skies and peaceful countryside setting that so many guests enjoy.

Liked Individual bathrooms.

Disliked Having to sign up via an app to obtain electric.
No staff on site/reception and shop all closed during check in times.
Reception and shop only open 9.30-1.00.

Lots of information leaflets, one suggesting action before you arrive!!

We stayed for 2 nights. On the 2nd day we left a small table on our pitch which had gone on our return. As there was no one on reception we phoned and left a message as we don't know if the site staff moved the table or if it had been stolen. We never received a reply.
They state on their leaflets that they look forward to seeing you at reception!!!

We're pleased to hear that you liked our individual private bathroom facilities, which are one of the features many guests enjoy during their stay.

We're sorry that some aspects of your visit didn't meet your expectations, and we'd like to address the points you raised.

Regarding the electricity, we appreciate that using the app isn't everyone's preferred option. The system is designed to ensure guests only pay for any electricity used above the generous daily allowance, helping to keep pitch fees fair for everyone. For guests who prefer not to use the app, we're always happy to assist and can set everything up manually.

With regard to reception opening hours, these are 9:30am to 3:00pm Monday to Thursday, 9:30am to 5:00pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 9:30am to 3:00pm on Sundays. Outside these hours, our self-check-in system enables guests to arrive at their convenience, and we find this works very well for the vast majority of visitors. In addition, we have 24-hour on-call cover, with a call button located outside reception should guests require assistance at any time.

We're sorry to hear about the table. All of our hardstanding pitches are equipped with either a picnic hut, a picnic bench or a Jack and Jill chair, so guests should have no need to borrow furniture from another pitch. On this occasion, it appears that someone may have taken the table from your pitch, for which we apologise. We also apologise if your voicemail was not returned, as that is not the level of service we aim to provide.

Finally, regarding the information provided before arrival, we try to give guests as much information as possible in advance so that check-in is straightforward and they can make the most of their stay from the moment they arrive.

Maintaining a peaceful atmosphere is something we work hard to achieve, with our quiet hours and evening warden patrols helping ensure everyone can enjoy a relaxing stay.

We're sorry to hear that you felt our shop selection and dog walking enclosure didn't meet your expectations.

While our enclosed dog exercise area is intended as a convenient space for a quick off-lead run, one of Pinecones' biggest attractions for dog owners is the fantastic selection of walks available directly from the campsite. Guests can enjoy four excellent routes without needing to drive:

Sandringham House and Visitor Centre
The Watermill ("King Charles III Way")
Snettisham Beach and Nature Reserve
Our extended pub walk, taking in the local countryside

In addition, Dersingham village is only around a 10-minute walk away, where you'll find a Co-op supermarket and other amenities. Just a little further (around 20 minutes on foot) are two dog-friendly pubs and two dog-friendly tea rooms, giving guests plenty of options during their stay.

Regarding the shop, we appreciate that everyone has different expectations. We have tried to stock a wide range of everyday essentials and convenience items for our guests, including fresh bread, milk, butter, eggs, bacon, frozen foods and ice creams, cereals, tinned foods, sauces, snacks, confectionery, hot and cold drinks, toiletries, medicines, camping accessories, electrical items, toilet chemicals, cleaning products and household essentials. In total, we carry around 110–130 individual product lines, which we feel provides a good selection for a campsite shop while the village supermarket is only a short walk away.

Liked Pod was very comfortable and offered hob, microwave kettle and toaster. Didn't need for anything.
Shower room was a joy, plenty of hot water and room to get dressed.
