What an excellent Oxfordshire site this is for anglers. And walkers. And quiet English countryside appreciators. For friendly and well-maintained Glebe Leisure Park is in a cracking countryside location on the edges of Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire as well as Oxfordshire and has two fishing lakes on site as well as lots of trails all around. Dogs – and their owners – like this place too, as there are long walks and gravelled pathways with dog waste bins set at handy locations, and it's mighty like too that cyclists will like the gentle and short pedal along to local town Bicester... Any amenities you might need are sorted here, such as a loo and shower block with info room about the surrounding area, a toilet and shower facilities for disabled guests, a chemical disposal point, drinking water outlets and a car park.

This well-kept spot boasts tranquil grounds, lovely fishing lakes & dog walks. Guests love the friendly staff, clean facilities (hot showers!), & roomy, level pitches. Secure entry is a bonus. One rare gripe: no power or help on arrival. Some shower cubicles are small.

Liked Secure entry/exit. Friendly welcome. Lovely level grass pitch with electric hookup. Spotless shower/toilet block and washing up facilities with plenty of hot water -and a plug in the washing up sinks!
We enjoyed a walk around the fishing lake even though we weren't there to fish.

Liked The campsite is well presented, clean, tidy and well laid out.
There are two toilet and shower blocks; one is part of the reception area, the other is a separate block and appears to be very new.
There are two dog walking areas, both are provided with dog poo bins. Otherwise known as pootins.
There are plentiful grass and tarmac pitches for campervans, campervans with awnings and also tents. Also a range of electric and non-electric pitches.

Disliked My only dislike was the presence of a number of campervans occupied by contractors who were working locally. I've absolutely nothing against contractors, one man I spoke to was exceedingly nice. He was considerate when I asked him to please limit the amount of frequency and force when sliding and closing his side door at 4am, 5am and 6am.
Unfortunately, the other's weren't and noise travels, especially when others only occupy nylon tents.
I was in pitch 40, I would say that pitches 36 to 41 would be affected. These are grass electric pitches.
There is WiFi but you have to pay for it.

Liked Clean amenities, fishing lakes. Nice staff and dog walk areas.

Disliked Very cramped, no space between pitches/tents. Busy car park right on the other side of the hedge by pitches 1-10, busy all day and night with people coming, going, arguing, etc. No play areas, no open safe space for kids (like a grass field)

Local attractions

Plenty of shops, restaurants, pubs and cafés are in Glebe Leisure's local town of Bicester within a couple of miles, and designer clothes and accessories in the outlet shopping centre Bicester Village. Glebe is the closest site to Bicester Heritage, the first park in the UK for the tender loving restoration care of classic and vintage cars, motorbikes and planes, all on over 345 acres of an old RAF bomber station. The centre's been described as 'a historic motoring fan's idea of heaven' so do speed along there if old engines make your motor hum. Twelve miles from the site is simply smashing Blenheim Palace, given to the first Duke of Marlborough by Charlie 2 and handed down through the Churchill family to reach one Winston some decades back. You really should have a trip... Also within 12 miles are another few British institutions: the dizzying array of arty treasures at the National Trust's Waddesdon Manor; Broughton Castle at Banbury, and days out spectating fast types at Silverstone Circuit.
