  • Large touring site in Warwickshire, with 20 acres of lakes
  • Twycross Zoo 10 minutes’ drive; National Space Centre 35 minutes
  • Lake beaches for sailing, paddleboarding, fishing and windsurfing
Want to spend your holidays lakeside – perhaps relaxing as you wait for fish to bite or honing your paddleboarding skills? You can do all this and more at Bosworth Lakeside Lodges, a family-oriented touring site spread over 50 acres in the Warwickshire countryside. There are 20 acres of lakes here, so you can get up to a wide range of watersports, from boating and kayaking to windsurfing, plus the above-mentioned paddleboarding and fishing. Taster sessions may be available if you fancy trying out something new. There are also colourful pedalos shaped like flamingos, swans and dragons, so you can cut a fine figure on the lake. Fishing in the pools is included for one person in the group (and under 14s go free), and additional adults can join for just a short fee per day. Back on dry land, you can relax on the sandy lake beaches or head to the site’s 12-hole crazy golf course with a nautical theme. For the kids, meanwhile, there's a fab adventure playground, with a dedicated section for youngsters under five. Several picnic and barbecue areas are available, with café and pub catering a mile to the east in the pleasant town of Market Bosworth (five minutes’ drive). Dogs are welcome at Bosworth Lakeside Lodges, but they need to be kept on leads at all times. Please note that this site only accepts family groups and couples aged over 25. On-site facilities include a dedicated toilet and shower block, washing-up facilities, Elsan disposal, fresh water and waste disposal. Calor and Campingaz bottles are available for exchange.

What customers say

Stunning lake views, heaps of water fun, and super-friendly staff get top marks! Families love the big pitches, spotless loos, beach, and playground. A few reckon the toilets/showers are a bit tired, and some had minor noise or pitch probs.

Liked Absolutely love this camp site.
So relaxing but at the same time so much for children.
Being out in the nature, walking around the lake, sandpit and beach area for the kiddies is a win!

Powered grass caravan site

Liked The water sports and the cleanliness of the site. Lady on reception and in the shop was very helpful too.

Disliked A big group of people had booked on site during our stay, this was fine and to be fair they were lovely people. My one complaint would be that if the site has specifically written rules for the site then please ensure they are adhered to! Late noise and music as well as electric scooters zooming around the site. I don’t blame the campers themselves, they were having a great time! The warden needed to be on top of the situation so that they were aware.

Liked Liked the setting. Very nice staff.

Disliked Booked hard standing with grass + electric.
But was sent to all hard standing.
But they did change me to an hard standing but had to put caravan at back of pitch crossways to get the grass for my awning.
Pitchup seem to have different info to the sites system???

Local attractions

Twycross Zoo (10 minutes’ drive) is home to almost 100 different species of animals, with a special focus on primates – from great apes like gorillas and orangutans, to monkeys – plus lemurs and meerkats. Younger children might like the immersive touch-and-feel activities in the Gruffalo Discovery Land. The kids may not be in school, but there are real-life history lessons at the Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre (10 minutes). Here you can take a guided walk around the fields where the 1485 battle took place, learn about the War of the Roses and discover how King Richard III lost his life in the fray. There are also children’s hunts and talks. Leave the past behind and zoom ahead to the future (or at least into space) at Leicester’s National Space Centre (35 minutes). You can experience what it’s like inside the International Space Station, see a sample of moon rock and learn about the universe in the Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium.
