  • Luxury yurts in a six-acre rural glamping setting
  • A 35-minute drive to New Quay and The National Botanic Garden of Wales
  • Play area on site; each yurt has a firepit with one free log basket
With the name Embrace the Space, you shouldn’t be too surprised to find that the luxury yurts at this rural glamping setting have access to heaps of space in the Carmarthenshire countryside - six acres, to be exact. There are plenty of ways to embrace it: cradling a glass of your favourite potion in front of your personal firepit or finding a corner to spread out and relax. This is the sort of place for fully tapping out of your busy life – use the free log basket supplied to you to kindle a firepit in the evening, capture the views for miles and miles from the viewing platform or take the kids to the play area. With a log burner, dining table and sofa, a kitchen and toilet exclusively for your own use next to the yurt and a nearby shower block with a shower per yurt, the set-up is cosy all-around. In the surrounding Welsh countryside, country lanes make for peaceful bike rides. When you want to seek out the seaside, New Quay (35 minutes’ drive) is a hit with the owners, and not just for the paddles-worthy sandy beach – their favourite fish and chips shop lies there, as does an excellent ice cream parlour and a pub that overlooks the sea (it also has a playground for any energetic kids). Boat trips to seek out bottlenose dolphins also depart from New Quay, though sightings can’t be guaranteed, and it’s easy to pass hours rockpooling (though be careful, the rocks can be slippery at times). Afterwards, just potter around the bars, cafés and restaurants or return to the pubs and shops in Newcastle Emlyn 10 minutes’ drive from this dog-friendly site. Adventurous sorts will also be happy to find that the activity centre half an hour’s stroll away runs activities such as a mud assault course, biking skills, sumo wrestling, coasteering, archery tag and many more activities.

Liked: This place is a little gem. Everything is so special about this place. The hot tub was a great, we got it fired up and hot everyday no problem. The kitchen and toilet/shower facilities were very well equipped and super clean! Lovely little touches around the yurt, to make your stay more luxurious. Our hosts were very nice and knowledgeable about the area, they couldnt do enough for us! We would love to go back.😊

7m Luxury European yurt (hot tub)

Liked: Location, with plaeny of space and much to do in the area, Really friendly hosts, couldn't do enough for us, really down to earth & very pleasant. Facilities were very clean and well equipped, novelty outdoor shower, especially in gale force 6>8 winds. Ideal for a romantic getaway or a whole family experience, including doggies. Looking forward to our next stay (in calmer conditions). Due to this being a realitively new adventure for Steve and Anthony, ATM very basic honesty shop , looking forward to seeing their progress and products on out next visit.

Disliked: Could do with updating the website, due to previous people not respecting their property and kind generosity of their FREE bike hire, they have now stopped it.

Traditional Mongolian yurt

Liked: We found the Mongolian Yurt so much better than we imagined. Clean and tidy (spotless in fact), the facilities were spot on. Anthony was an excellent host and very easy to deal with. The bedding was perfect, well thought out and of superior quality leading to good restful sleep. Our dog was welcome and had plenty of space to exercise and explore. The shower, WC and kitchen areas were all spotless and well equipped. The fire-pit was a nice touch and we managed to cook a couple of really nice steaks on the grill.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike here for us.

7m Luxury European yurt (hot tub)

Liked: Lovely relaxing stay. Yurt was really nice and spacious. Plenty of room for children to play outside. Owners were really nice and the welcome pack on arrival was much appreciated. Toilet and shower were spotless and it was nice to have a fridge in the kitchen. The icing on the cake was the hot tub outside the yurt. If we let the owners know what time we were returning after a day out, the hot tub would be heated up ready for us to use.

Traditional Mongolian yurt

Liked: Great location for relaxing and getting away from the crowds. Anthony couldn’t have been more helpful. Beautiful countryside, great views of the stars and the magical sound of owls made for a chilled few days. The yurt was very well equipped with fabulously comfortable beds and luxurious bedding. The interior was very homely, a mini fridge and kettle in the yurt were a great addition and the wood burner made the evening very cosy. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook meals for family. There are some beautiful local attractions such as Cenarth Falls, the Welsh Wildlife centre and poppit sands. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay.

Long walks down the beach followed by a large slice of cake and a cuppa at the beach café could also feature in your visit (go on, treat yourself – you’re on holiday). Go ahead and circle The National Botanic Garden of Wales (35 minutes) on your map. With a huge glasshouse and pond packed with interesting plant life, an apothecary garden and the British Bird of Prey Centre with hawks, falcons and kites, there’s all sorts on show.
