What customers say

Lovely natural setting, peaceful riverside location. Spotless facilities, especially the kitchen and showers. Hosts are dead on. Some road/train noise, but earplugs help. Great for seeing the sights and Cardiff.

Bell tent

Liked The bell tent was lovely. Very clean and beds all made up. Each tent has a picnic bench and a fire pit. Pretty field setting by a river with lots of space around each tent. Very nice owners.

Disliked Only one shower, two toilets and one fridge for the whole site - more definitely needed.
Also, be aware there is no electricity so bring a power bank. A generator serves the camp kitchen fridge-freezer but can get overloaded.

Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked I didnt like anything i Lovvvveeeeeddddd it all. What an amazing camp site ❤️ I've camped all over the place and never found one as perfect as this, they have absolutely everything here for family's and nothings too much.
We only come to air our tents out for the night and that was 5 days ago.
The amazing family who run it have really stepped there game up, I don't think im ever gonna go else where.
The river Taff runs right next to the site so now we need some paddle boards.
Absolutely beautiful here an im hard to please. And to find out they have only opened up in May is incredible x there's alot more exciting things to come and seeing it as it is now you could only imagine xx love love love this place ❤️

Disliked Having to leave.

Local attractions

From your pitch, follow waymarked trails up the Garth (20 minutes’ walk) for views over Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. The 55-mile Taff Trail (for walkers and cyclists) passes close by too, so you can follow the scenic section to Pontypridd on largely traffic-free paths alongside the river. Heritage-lovers can tour the extraordinary Castell Coch (10 minutes’ drive), an ornate folly combining a medieval castle with Gothic-Victorian additions, or have a nose around Caerphilly Castle (15 minutes) with its drawbridges and battlements. Also well worth a visit is St Fagans National Museum of History (20 minutes), an open-air folk museum recreating Welsh life through historic buildings and crafts workshops. If the kids aren't taken with all that history, test their wits in themed escape games at Cardiff’s Puzzled Escape Rooms, or take them to Tenpin Cardiff Nantgarw (both 10 minutes) for bowling, arcade games and fast food in the diner. These also make great rainy day choices if the weather turns on you.
