But Rudolph and pals first... Big Foot is home to a herd of UK born and raised reindeer, a right friendly bunch who you should be able to see being fed and exercised when they're out and about. They're all part of the Tarvin Sands Reindeer Centre and Fishery, where there's also an information hut, a gift shop, picnic areas, gardens and other animals including kingfishers, water voles and greylag geese.
And now the fishing. Three coarse fishing lakes are on the site, crammed with 30lb fish including carp, bream, roach, tench, chub, perch and rudd.
Big Foot is set over 25 acres of Cheshire countryside, with loads of room for kids to play and run around. It has an excellently-kept facilities block with free hot showers and toilets, a washing-up hut and a parent and baby washroom. There's also a café on site, serving hot and cold food from sarnies to full-on fry-ups.

Local attractions
Big Foot Glamping and Camping At Tarvin Sands has heaps of room on site to wander around, picnic in and wildlife watch, but if you're here to also see a bit of Cheshire and the northwest, you'll find it's in handy locale for getting out and about. Liverpool, Manchester and north Wales are all within a short drive.
It's a smashing site for kids too, as it's close to famed family attractions like Chester Zoo as well as the kid-friendly fare in nearby Chester: try the Chester ghost hunter trail, the miniature railway at Grosvenor Park and the pools and flumes at Northgate Arena.
The Big Foot team also reckons you should take a look at Blakemere Craft village, the farm animals, play areas and tasty treats of Chester's The Ice Cream Farm, and family adventure play park the Crocky Trail.

Thank you for your completely unrealistic review. The fact that there are four 10 out of 10 reviews either side of yours gives people an idea of the truth, however, I will give you the honour of getting a personal reply from us,
Firstly, location, who finds a place, books a place knowing EXACTLY where it is, and then complains about the location of it? Do you go to Spain and then moan that it wasn't in Barbados?
Value for money: Where else can you go, with all the space you had, surrounded by wildlife, including our Reindeer herd, with no extra costs for the same price? If you have somewhere in mind, maybe you should give them the pleasure of your company next time.
Facilities / Activities: This is a quiet, relaxing family site and we do not advertise any activities, there are however, hundreds of things to do locally. We also provide all the facilities that you need and there are plenty of local shops.
Customer service: Just look at our other reviews, enough said.
Child friendliness: The site is perfectly friendly for children, however, as in any place, its always a good idea to look out for your own children, where they are, what they're doing,
Fishing, yes, we charge for everyone who goes on the lake because we have limited our capacity, this is to provide a quiet, relaxing environment for our fishing. If we didn't, as we have experienced in the past, one person will fish and their whole family will be on the lake disturbing the other anglers. Can you go to a theme park for free if you don't want to go on the rides?
Cleanliness: Our park and facilities are checked regularly and are always spotlessly clean, we have no idea what you have experienced to say otherwise.
