What customers say
Grand spot, dead handy for beaches. Owners are sound, views are lovely. A bit hilly with limited parking, but they've got wheelbarrows. Showers sorted quick.

Slow paced, friendly and laid back - a wonderful place to camp out.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked So much to like here:
The lovely greenery, the horses that chomp lazily in the field next door, the hens that have been rescued by the hosts that I said "hello gals" to as I walked past each and every time.
Had a fantastic night stay at The Roost and had a wonderful reception from the hosts - so thank you for your warm welcome and departure.
Love the honesty fridge (had myself a couple of the Southwold ales - nice and cold!) and just found the whole atmosphere so calm and slow; just how I like it.
Disliked If I'm being picky, probably the walk from where you park your car to the field where you can choose your pitch.
I was lucky as I arrived very early (earliest check in), and got myself prime location quite close to the grassy ramp that leads back to the facilities and parking area. But - please consider that you will have to cart your gear (in a provided wheelbarrow mind) to and from your vehicle. And that's being really picky, as I do love a Park 'N' Pitch generally.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Nice place, friendly owner. For reference, it is a hilly field. This might affect some visitors. There is a nearby pub, the Star Room, Worth a visit, but if there's a band on, they don't have food. We choose this site because it's near to the Thorrington Theatre.

Amazing sunsets close to the beaches
Bell tent
Liked Lovely views, peaceful, comfortable bed in tent. Close to popular beaches. Great hosts with all the facilities that you need. Very clean.
Disliked The walk up the slight hill can be a little bit challenging if you have disabilities like myself, it is only a short walk, however.

Had a great nights stay!
Bell tent
Liked Really enjoyed the tent, spacious and comfortable. The location is lovely, a working farm with character, but a gorgeous big campsite and nice to see chickens and horses near by.
The facilities were good, we had an issue with the shower and with a quick message to the owner it was sorted in 5 minutes.
Really good communication pre arrival from the owners, and they were friendly and helpful on arrival.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Being so well looked after by the friendly hosts Kim and Ed, their son Angus delivered us our logs by wheelbarrow which added the cherry on top to their hosting skills!
Disliked Nothing, we wish we had booked longer!

Bell tent
Liked We stayed in the bell tent for one night, it was great, clean, spacious, comfy beds, quiet, great toilet/wash facilities. The owner was really friendly and helped us with the area. We couldn’t find the light in the toilet block that was our only minor issue (but could have been us being silly!) Thanks for a great stay!
