What customers say
Pods praised as tidy, snug, and well-stocked, with a nice touch of marshmallows. Hosts are welcoming, the farm animals are a hit, and the scenery is grand. A few found the fridge a bit wee and space limited for more than two. Tap water taste sorted, with bottled water available. Heater hum and curtain privacy were minor quibbles.

An excellent place to connect with nature.
Camping pod
Liked We had a lovely stay at Slate House Farm Pod. The pod was very spacious and equipped with everything you need. We received a very warm welcome from the owners, who made us feel at home straight away.
The surroundings are absolutely amazing, with stunning views everywhere you look. There is also a lovely pond next to the pod, which made the stay even more relaxing. We especially loved seeing all the animals — ponies, horses, chickens, and baby sheep.
We had such a lovely time and would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful countryside getaway!
Disliked The mattress was a little too soft for someone with sciatica, but the owners kindly offered another mattress straight away, which we really appreciated.

Friendly and accommodating hosts
Easter eggs for kids was a nice touch!
Disliked A couple of teething issues but all were resolved very quickly including a problem with the hot water, the heater and an extra bed needed.
As others have mentioned a bit of a squeeze for 4 people.

Perfect location for getting out in the Peak District.
Marshmallows and fire wood provided! Lovely touch!
Drinking water provided.
Disliked Lost some water heat during the Saturday… possibly due to water pressure?
Wasn’t a problem to us and certainly did not ruin our stay.

Great facilities, lovely site, and friendly staff
Camping pod
Liked My young son really enjoyed the animals on site. The staff/owners were really friendly, the location was great, and the pod very cozy and comfortable.
Disliked Not really any dislikes, although the heater was quite loud. But did a decent job of heating the pod on what was a very cold night outside.

Highly recommended glamping, better for 2 or 3
Camping pod
Liked Pod impeccable with all what you would need, including bedding, towels and full equipped kitchen. Double bed and single bed very comfortable Great service, owner very friendly and ready to help if asked. Only down is that due to small space is not suitable for 4. To accommodate the foldable single bed for the 4th person, have to empty the floor space where is the small table and luggage. More appropriate for a couple alone or a couple with only one small kid. Amazing that dogs are so welcome, very grateful of that!
