Gostou We had a lovely little holiday here. There's stunning views and it's quiet but there's plenty to do and see on the farm (and in surrounding areas). The owners are lovely and told us we could walk around to meet all the animals. The sheep all ran up to us and it was adorable! The pod is cozy. I was surprised at how many appliances were provided in the kitchen (small obviously but perfect for glamping). There was also a heater, blankets, camp fire, BBQ and a TV with dvd player! And on arrival there were logs, fire starters, kindling and a lighter all in a box outside the pod! Everything you need for a cosy getaway. Loved it so much!

Não gostou Take your own water to drink and wash in.

I was told apparently it`s a very old farm so the shower system doesn't work properly because it`s an old farm, so old system.

Take welly boots because grass in field where pods are wasn't cut, and very long.

No large entrance "camp signage" on entrance of camp site, so very easy to miss.

Take ear plugs because the fridge sounds like a pneumatic drill going off through the night.

we would like to say we are very disappointed with this review. This did not reflect what you were saying to us during your visit and morning coffee in the farm shop we asked you how you slept and your reply was ( amazing I did not want to get up Thankyou )

Firstly you said your satellite navigation wasn't picking up our postcode we have never had this issue before? so you called us and we came out and picked you up from your location given on the phone and brought you back to the farm. Which at the time you said you were grateful and could not thank me enough.

Secondly we opened our farm shop for you that evening so you had something to eat that night as it was so late.

The messages you sent to us are not a reflection of the score you gave us and can only feel you wrote this in anger because I had to cancel my reiki session with you. Our reviews are a true reflection of our pods and customer service. we pride ourselves on making sure our guests have a wonderful stay and want to return as a lot do and become friends of the farm.

The grass as we all know due to the drought this year as been yellow we made the decision to allow it grow a little longer to achieve a healthy lawn again. This is part of our lawn care treatment around the farm.

Since your stay we have had guests in the same pod with no issues. we have checked the fridge and it's silent as we expected as they was all purchased new in June 2026.

Gostou The tranquility! The naturalness of everything. It had everything needed without being too much. It was the perfect relaxing retreat & we will definitely be back :)

Gostou It was really great, nice and peaceful even though it's a farm and there are animals like sheep, goats and pigs. Which weirdly enough didn't seem to disturb you. The pods are great and the farm is pretty central to quite alot of the different places you can visit.

Gostou We’re a family of 6 and stayed in 2 pods for 2 nights. We absolutely loved it. Everything about Slate House Farm is just wonderful - it’s quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. The views from the pod are stunning. Toni and her family were unbelievably welcoming - spending time with us to explain about her animals and the farm. We all loved being able to get close to the animals & being able to feed them was a highlight. The play area with football goals and trampoline was a bonus for my 4 kids. The farm shop onsite was also a fab addition - and I must recommend the fresh milk and icecream, just delicious. The pods themselves were small and cosy- but have everything you need for a comfortable stay. We absolutely loved sitting round the fire pit on a night telling stories and eating toasted marshmallows. Honestly one of my favourite weekends away ever- I would 100% recommend and we will definitely be back. Thank you so much Toni
