Rannoch, Perthshire, Scotland
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked We loved absolutely everything about this campsite. The location is amazing set in forest near Loch Rannoch, awesome for walks. The facilities are clean, comprising of toilet blocks for ladies and gents that have wet rooms (not showers). A washing up area. Ellie the warden was helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome. I cannot recommend this site enough. If you like basic no thrills campsites, this is one to try. Also suitable for campervans and caravans.

Liked Absolutely everything. A clean, tidy, attractive, well run campsite with toilet and shower blocks, reception, shop, launderette and a food hut that has rotating nights fron pizza, fish and chips, mexican and curry nights. Great views.
Disliked Pitches on the sea view section are not all perfectly flat, choose your pitch wisely. Bit of a walk from the sea view pitches to the toilet/shower blocks.

Power optional grass campsite
Liked We were greeted by thr friendly manager and shown our pitch, the site is on a sports ground complex so the camping areas are flat. The Village of Eshot is pretty, with The Woolpack pub a five minute walk away. A nice friendly place.

Liked Perfect Basic camping. A large field to pitch your tent wherever you want. Just toilets, bins and a water point which is all we needed for two nights camping. I can highly recommend this site if you are looking for the same thing.

Weymouth, Dorset, England
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked We absolutely loved this campsite, from the warm greeting and helpful info on arrival, the cleanliness of the site and of course the stunning location. This is a must place to come to base yourself for a holiday in Dorset. With regards to the current Covid 19, There was clear instructions around congregation points (Shower blocks, toilets, washing up area), plenty of hand sanitiser but also every camper was respectful of each other in terms of social distancing guidelines, so good was this campsite and the relaxing nature of the place it made our stay perfect.

From the manager: Thank you Justin, we're delighted you enjoyed it and we love your pictures from the campsite. It's such a lovely part of the world and the countryside is so varied and unspoiled, that it's peculiar how little known it is, especially when it's so easy to get here. Now that we're in a National Park this might start to change slowly. Our advice is Come now!

East Retford, Nottinghamshire, England
Liked This is a beautiful campsite in the gardens of a 17th century Vicarage. There is a small river running through it that is immensely popular with the children. The staff a warm and welcoming and made us feel extremely welcome. This is a campsite that you can let your children run free as you can see them from pretty much everywhere on the site. There is a bar if you want to purchase drinks and snacks, that has to be seen to be believed as it is in a sandstone cave. This is a new venture for the owner but it is definitely heading in the right direction. There are electric and non-electric pitches, so can cater for all. It's location is literally a couple of minutes off the A1, but when on the site you would never know it is so close. Our stay was utter peace and bliss and I heartily recommend you stay there.
