What customers say
A peaceful woodland site with spacious pitches in a beautiful natural setting. Campers loved the friendly warden, clean facilities with hot water, and nearby walking trails. The remote location and cash payments were noted, but no showers were expected. Watch out for midges in warmer weather.

Magical place
Primitive cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Spacious pitches for electric or hardstanding, or theres a grass field where you can choose or there are some pitches away from the main part, we were in one of those, it was brilliant. Facilities were fine, no showers but washrooms with hot water. Small shedlike area for washup. Water is surface water thats filtered and UV rayed. It was ever so slightly brown so I was dubious but it was DELICIOUS. Ellie the warden is a gorgeous human being inside and out, very knowledgable and happy to advise, laidback, friendly and hardworking. We didnt see any other wildlife than the plentiful birds round the feeder Ellie and James look after but I believe there are pine martens, deer and red squirrels. I haven't even got to the trees, my word the TREES! Beautiful breathtaking scenery and well kept trails/bridges. The gorge walk is magical. The loch was also lovely for a walk to sit and watch the water.
Disliked Tics. Make sure you're prepared if you have a dog, we took some off him every night. Midges as well but it was the first week in September so to be expected

Exceptional
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked My first time camping and wow 😍 Absolutely loved the location. So remote, peace and quiet. Other campers so far away, it was almost like I was there alone. Wardens were excellent, friendly and polite. Grounds were spotless, and perfectly kept. Facilities clean and tidy. Will most certainly make this a regular visit. For me, parked up in the Ranger/TentBox, in the woodland was amazing.
Disliked Absolutely nothing

Surrounding areas…

Liked Surrounding areas
Disliked There seemed to be no structure in place as the warden was barely seen so rules were not adhered to, dogs running around off leads one almost entered our van we had to stop it, dog again off lead attacked another dog & attempted another which was on a lead its owners had to put it in their van to keep it safe, said dog peeing on our awning when it clearly stated keep dogs on leads, when we arrived we went to park the caravan and had kids running around and on our pitch almost getting knocked down, balls getting kicked off our car & caravan, a kid screaming for hours with parents literally screaming back, dog barking constantly. I understand this isn't the caravan parks fault just people with no caravan/camp etiquette or consideration but perhaps if the warden was more present this could have been prevented... we came home less rested than before we arrived unfortunately

A Top Campsite In The Cairngorms
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked We loved absolutely everything about this campsite. The location is amazing set in forest near Loch Rannoch, awesome for walks. The facilities are clean, comprising of toilet blocks for ladies and gents that have wet rooms (not showers). A washing up area. Ellie the warden was helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome. I cannot recommend this site enough. If you like basic no thrills campsites, this is one to try. Also suitable for campervans and caravans.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Such a quiet place and really quite remote. The warden was lovely and very knowledgeable. Good walks and cycling from this site. Bilberries when in season as they were for us.
Disliked Facilities rather basic but the site is not trying to be ‘top end’ so as expected really.

Beautiful site
Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Really beautiful location. Lots of local walks, big spacious site which made it nice and peaceful. The onsite manager was lovely and friendly, as a solo traveler she checked in on me a few times which was really sweet. Perfect location if you have a dog, easy to get down to the loch. Also perfect for bike riders, plenty to go at round here.
Couldn't recommend the site enough. Really clean and well maintained, will be back!
Disliked Nothing at all!
