What customers say
Enjoy a peaceful, rustic escape with lovely farm animals & stunning views. Basic portaloos onsite, with toilets nearby. Praised for space & quiet. A great Lake District base. Some noted a lack of taps/bins & a remote feel. Rocky access track. Good value; guests would return.

A great value site with excellent views which could be improved.
Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Nice quiet site and free to choose pitch.
Disliked It would be a big improvement to have mains water connected. I appreciate that there is no drain so flush toilets would not be possible but some more portaloos at the far end of the site would be good, as well as another water point.

Basic site with beautiful views, stars on a night were amazing 😍
Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Beautiful views and great location short drive to both kendal and windermere. Pitch where you like, would have been ideal if we didn't visit on a bank holiday. We did expect it would be busy, and to be honest there was still plenty of space, but when we were out for the day a large group did decide to Pitch right next to us to the point their guide ropes were almost pegged up to our tent and they were loud/swearing etc so wasn't ideal with our two young children, but again can pitch where you like so they weren't breaking any rules. Not the sites fault, but if visiting in high season be prepared.
Amazing that proceeds go to charity would definitely return 👏
Disliked Loos were pretty bad by the bank holiday Monday morning, but we were leaving that day so was manageable.
