Positiv We stayed for one night on New Year’s Eve at Fernlea Campsite & Pod, just along the road from Errol on the beautiful Firth of Tay, and could not have asked for a warmer welcome. On arrival, we found the owner and his daughter busy preparing everything for the pod guests, which immediately set the tone for our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. They were friendly, attentive, and genuinely pleased to have us there, creating a sense of hospitality that is sadly rare and deeply appreciated. The site itself is peaceful, well kept, and feels carefully cared for, with a calm, tucked away atmosphere that makes it easy to relax and switch off. It was the perfect place to spend New Year’s Eve: quiet, welcoming, and full of simple charm. We left feeling rested and grateful, and we would not hesitate to return or recommend Fernlea to others looking for a comfortable, friendly, and thoughtfully run campsite. A small place with a big heart.

Negativ Nothing to dislike, well set out, welcoming and everything needed.

Positiv The girl on reception was lovely she explained everything we needed to know I only had one question and that was about the WiFi; that we did end up buying no a bad price we only came for a short weekend Friday until Sunday and only needed one day @ £5 you do get a better deal if your staying for longer 3 days @ £10 an so on. Very peaceful site fantastic for dogs plenty of space to walk. Very close to Wooler town centre so easy reach for small shops like the Co-op. Showers are hot, I did have to press the button a couple of times but once it was hot it stayed hot.

Negativ This site would be perfect if it had a mains tv aerial, this is not the case so no TV for the weekend, not the end of the world for us but it could be to people who enjoy the box and/or a program. Our aerial could pick up a thing, the same as (i think) next door (we have traveled the length and breadth UK and when signal is weak we have found the site has a Mains. The WiFi come in useful for this being able to get a program or two using on demand websites. Shower block could be a bit cleaner a little few repairs needed etc.
