Positiv Great helpful staff. A small camp site. Location quite good with a cosy Michelin star pub right next to site and a convenience shop within walking distance. Most pitches are very well spaced out with good and great views. Very peaceful most of the time but you can hear a bit of road noise at night.

Negativ The radiator on constantly in the shower room even in height of summer. Temperature of water in shower needs to be cooler in hot weather. The short burst of shower water in between the pressing of the button. No storage for shampoo, conditioner etc in showers. Paths on campsite are very loosely gravelled and cars going in and out of the campsite create a lot of unnecessary dust for the campers. Quite expensive for the facilities offered. Poor TV signal.

Positiv We only stayed one night on our way up to Edinburgh. We would definitely have liked to stay longer and will be returning. The showers were excellent and clean. The surroundings are lovely in the marina. The café on the marina was lovely as were the staff and the food. The guy in the marina’s chandlery shop was also lovely and friendly.

Negativ The satnav took us down the wrong lane and the sign for the right lane was really badly done as only shows you the camping sign in the one direction.

Positiv The owner’s mum.

Negativ The crush and run chunky gravel. Traffic noise. Mouldy wooden shower draining mats. The owner’s grumpy dad cutting the site’s grass on his noisy sit down lawn mower at 6pm!!!
