Positiv Good communication from Vicky the manager and a spacious site. The toilets and showers were clean. Good location for the Cotswolds especially the lovely nearby town of Stow on the Wold.

Negativ The field really sloped down where we were on no 11 and it was quite a walk up to the facilities and washing up station but we would stay again.

Positiv We had stayed here a few years ago and came back because it was a nice quiet site in a good location. Sadly we didn't have a very good experience to begin with this time. Despite telephone calls before we arrived and knocking on the door when we arrived we didn't actually see the site owners until mid morning on Monday which might have been OK but there was no roof on the men's facilities, no electric for any of the facilities which meant no hot water for showers or washing up and the cold showers were just a trickle down the wall. There was nowhere to freeze our ice blacks either. No one came to see us on Monday morning or answered the door when we knocked so we were wondering whether to stay or not as we had paid for two nights, but luckily another camper arrived and I managed to finally see the owner after they had checked in. She apologised and said that she would refund us for that night and that we could use the hot shower in a nearby static caravan which she rents out. So we stayed the second night but we've had no refund and according to Pitchup, they have had no answer from the site owners when they contacted them last week.

Negativ No communication whatsoever before and on the first night or next morning. No phone call, message or note left for our arrival. No hot water or electricity in all the facilities, only a trickle of a cold shower and no ice pack freezing available as listed on the Pitch up site.

Positiv Lovely well looked after site with a friendly helpful owner. Please tick the 'ice pack freezing' on the 'Amenities on site' section as we were pleasantly surprised to find a freezer in the ladies facilities which was great for us on especially in this hot weather. Phone signal was good so we were able to watch the England match! We visited quite a few ovely nearby places on the coast and inland.

Positiv Good location for walking by the lake or the fells.

Negativ We know that it was a working farm but the dogs barked and yapped a lot, on one evening it carried on into the night and very early in the morning. There was nowhere with hot water to wash up!

Positiv Very friendly and organised, well spaced l site. Refreshing to have meters for electricity which meant that we paid very little for the three nights we were there instead of a huge sum regardless how little we use. Easy walk or bike ride into Pickering.

Positiv A basic site with everything we needed including some lambs for neighbours. Farmer was very friendly and the amenities were clean. Under cover area if needed as well as seating with tables outside. We felt very much at home with the lovely views.

Negativ Would be helpful if there was a mirror hanging somewhere!

Positiv A lovely small site with friendly owners Ali and Dean within easy reach of the coast, nearby Louth and Lincoln. Spotlessly clean with plenty of room to walk dogs and for children to play and it's a delight to see the alpacas in a nearby field. Having free wifi and the use of a fridge/freezer was great too.

Negativ The showers are lovely and hot but the cubicles could be a little longer as anything taken in with you can easily get wet.

Positiv Very friendly, easy going and good basic facilities. The goats were very entertaining! Near the canal towpath and pretty village.

Positiv Easy to book with PitchUp and a friendly welcome when we arrived! Great facilities at a good price and nothing was too much trouble. We liked the idea of having a card for the electricity so that we paid only for what we used, it worked out much more economical than a set charge! Wifi strong signal everywhere too! We'll certainly be back if we are in the area again.

Positiv The freedom and relaxed atmosphere of the camping field and large working farm. Animals on view to enjoy. Facilities in quirky old outbuildings. Friendly owner!
