Positiv The gold standard ! It wasn't until I arrived that I realised that I'd stayed there before with my children when they were young. Small local information shed in the field.There are books and even Jigsaws for sale. Raising funds for the air ambulance. Detailed leaflet given to all guests.This included everything from local pubs to walks, doctors and even defibrillator locations. ( 2 on site ) Toilets immaculate. Museum next door has drinks and plenty to keep aviation enthusiasts happy.

Negativ It beggars belief that anyone could possibly find fault with the fantastic site.

Positiv Loved the space, location, laid back attitude and initial information by text. Can't fault it. Can't comment about the toilets but I'm not a fan of those plastic boxes anyway so I stayed well clear.

Positiv Once again I leave top marks. Wonderful little camp. Very relaxing 😎 Take a walk to the church and sit in the sun on the bench provided. There's a gate next to the notice board. Through there and turn left. A lovely evening walk in the sun.

Positiv Marvellous location. Very quiet and relaxing. Sadly for the owners, I was the only camper on site. Due to the hot weather bookings at down. It will be the same people who do not camp because it's raining, it's cold, it's windy. They are missing time to recover and reset from daily life. In truth, I don't need an holiday because I have no stress or worry, but understand that others have. Spring Bottom FM is perfect. The entrance to the field is a silver gate on the left as you drive into the village. You will see the very clean and spacious toilet to the right at the far end of the field. There is NO SHOWER and this is noted on Pitchup before you book. The toilet is ideal if ladies want to dress or have a wash down. There is a sink for washing pots. The benches are a nice touch. Don't use them for portable bar-b-ques because they will burn the surface. The owners can be found through the small gate and down the path to the house. Alternatively a text to details on the inside of the toilet. Don't expect a reception desk and ushers to your designated spot. I'm reviewing this site as the only visitor and it's perfectly suitable for me. It's wild ISH camping without the worry of teenagers in cars at 2am or kids throwing stones. I will certainly be back. I've already added it to my favourites list and wish the owners well with it.

Positiv I liked the idea of nearly Wildcamping. But received a message to say the site was closed. I have had several texts but no response to my replys !

Negativ I have no idea what's going on with the site. Looking on Pitch up I see a review by another user for the same time that I would have been there. I've had several messages to say the site was close. I even offered to help.. I don't know if payment is returned. I don't know if a member of staff has somehow tried to sabotage the camp. All a bit strange. Pitchup does show site as unavailable, so I don't think it's their fault.

Positiv It's a glade shaded by trees. People park in a circle around the outer rim. There is a toilet but I didn't visit. Mainly because I didn't want to be put off from visiting again ( which I will be doing ). It's cheap and perfect for my needs. Very relaxing. Pub is very close for a pint and a meal. All of this gets very mixed reviews online. Looking on Google some rave about the place and other a the polar opposite. I don't know if this is down to expectations. The menu is not the cheapest I've seen but it is varied. Beer garden is good. Lovely village to walk through. I'm looking forward to returning.

Negativ Campsite one sign is hidden when the gate is open. That baffled me for a while. Other than that I have no negatives to report.

Positiv The perfect site for me. Quiet, space and left to suit myself. It's clean and seems to get regular visitors. This was my second time and I will certainly return.

Positiv Brilliant little site. I picked a night with the worst rain storm for months. Because of that I had the place more or less to myself. Owner was away, but the only other camper ( who's been going for seven years ) took my money. Field is flat with a decent hedge to keep the wind off where I parked. Showers clean, toilet clean. But they would be with no visitors. Easy to find. I'll certainly be going back. If you visit, tell them Steve sent you....

Negativ I don't know what it would be like at the height of the season but I think I would atill like to visit.

Positiv Can't fault it. Some will complain about the rough track from the road. They will say that the toilets were cramped and basic. They will say that the sink for washing pots is not covered over. They might mention the exposure to the wind because it's high on a hillside. Non of that matters. It was £12. It was clean and quiet. Views were amazing. Yes, some of the things could be fixed but then it won't be the same experience. I wouldn't enjoy it at all and would never return. As it is now, I don't want to leave!
