Vom Platzbetreiber: It's lovely to read that you found the site fine and that you are understanding of the wildlife; they are, after all, part and parcel of the countryside. Our shop, added almost two years ago to the reception area, is a small convenience store. Whilst not very big we have a wide selection of goods. We stock some staples such as milk, butter and bacon; preserves, biscuits, cakes, crisps, pasta, rice, cereal, sauces ,toiletries and a few luxuries including alchohol, fudge and ice-cream. Castle Howard Farm Shop, just a mile away, has a butchery, a deli and a much wider selection of other foods and the market town of Malton, with a number of supermarkets, is only 5 miles down the road.
