Positiv As a sole traveller this site is my happy place. It's just so peaceful with walks and a lovely pub on the doorstep. The site itself is pristine and the owners are lovely. Would highly recommend.

Negativ The Pitchup listing needs to be updated as the castle is boarded up and under renovation, the amenities/facilities listed are only for the glamping, not the gravel pitches, and the 'pitches' were a disused overgrown and uneven carpark. We struggled to find a level spot for our awning and cut short our trip to book elsewhere.

Positiv Well this is my new favourite campsite! Loved the spacious open feel to it, and being able to pitch wherever you want to. It made it feel more like wild camping than being on a site. I was looking for peace and tranquility and I certainly got it. Was amazing looking out over the lake listening to the birds. Lovely walk straight from the campsite down to Skipton. The facilities were spotlessly clean and the owners really friendly and helpful. Will be a regular visitor here from now on.
