Positiv Everything especially the warm welcome from the English owners. It personifies peace and tranquility especially the bird song. Facilities are just great for our touring ERIBA caravan. The WiFi was an added bonus as was the Pétanque pitch which introduced us at last to this fun game. It’s only 3 miles to the nearest supermarket which is ideal. If you need entertainment it’s just down the road a few miles. Given the chance we will return again in a heartbeat ❤️

Positiv I cannot deny it is a beautiful tranquil well run campsite the trees and the owls at night make it special, the showers and toilets are great your own shower room with loo and sink, very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially Dave! Good washing up facilities. We loved Clover field where we pitched. The nearby pub The Crown Inn is just 10 mins walk away in Lanlivery for a good few pints of Red Bill Ale tho we were not so keen on the food there being pescatarians. The walk to Helman Moor and Logan Rock is a lovely day out about 4 miles there and back., we were defeated by a lake on the path on The Saints Way, take wellies in October! Good rates in Oct £19 per night. We spent a week there probably too long for us. NT Lanhydrock is 10 mins away and well worth a visit. Adults ONLY :)) Dog Friendly

Negativ Not much apart from the fact we were not into the immediate area St Austell Parr Eden Project etc but that's us and being Cornish a week was a little too long. A lot of permanent caravans here. The WiFi was great at start but got worse as the week progressed and no Vodafone or Tesco phone signal at all.

Negativ When I chose and booked this campsite it was because of all the lovely photographs of waterside pitches. False advertising. Be warned if you have a touring caravan you will be allocated a pitch on grass no hard standing even though it states that on the pitch up booking confirmation, in a field surrounded by hedges with no views at all. Then you will be told you will have to leave you car outside in the car park despite the fact there is more than enough room for your car. Despite the fact that the chalets are allowed to park their cars next to the chalet. I tried very hard to get a waterside pitch with two members of staff to no avail. I would estimate 95% of this site with waterside pitches are ‘permanents’ and there is a distinct feeling of segregation between caravans and the rest where they stick caravans in a boring no view field. Check in time on Pitch Up is wrong it should be 1300hrs NOT 12 noon. After 4 days we had a tent camp next to us with a family of very noisy kids which was awful I found this campsite quite sad and depressing to wander around seeing nothing but empty closed up caravans with awnings added onto awnings facing the water with no one in them. It was the biggest mistake of my 3 month stay in The Netherlands having booked 7 nights here. I will avoid large commercial campsites from now on. The best bit was driving away.

Positiv Very friendly English spoken well. Lovely couple who are building this place up. Peaceful with bird song all day and evening with wandering Dutch rabbits ☺️ We booked personal toilet and shower for €6 extra per night which was worth it. 10 mins drive from Jumbo supermarket with lots of other shops you will need. 20 min drive from ferry to Texol if you desire that experience we did not enjoy Texol. Owner keeps strict eye on noise levels from other campers Bread delivery is available if you require. Free good WiFi Very safe

Positiv The Lake where you can find a shady spot to relax by and the birdlife on lake The cycling of the Amsterdam Bose Forest on your door step The loos and showers you get a full 5 min shower with no hitting the faucet. Free WiFi moderate strength If you’re thinking of getting a Amsterdam Travel Card for 1-3 days you have to go to Schipol airport to buy it., and remember you need the extended area CARD as the camp site is not in the central area pass. We made bad decision and got the central Amsterdam pass for 3 days and ended up having to pay extra to go to and from Schipol !

Negativ Unfortunately not a great experience but that was partly due to booking with Pitch Up and not directly with Euro Parcs. Be warned you cannot change the booking in any way once booked we have a touring caravan and wanted to upgrade and pay the extra to have a hard standing pitch beside the lake., be warned these pitches are ONLY for motorhomes and roof tents. So, we were booked on a muddy tiny site busy corner place probably because we were paying less through Pitch UP, which ended up having an altercation with an arriving neighbour because the pitches were not demarcated properly. The manager did sort this out. This is a shame as using Pitch Up is so easy for Brits. The rowdy Irish work teams camping near us shouting and arguing a lot of the time :( The aircraft from Schipol comes in waves of noise but very bad when it does The fact they describe this location as without noise and peaceful It took us a good hour and 15 mins to get into Amsterdam centre If you were to cycle allow at least an hour also there is exaggeration on times! Friday night was a nightmare with gangs of teenagers turning up with bikes and tents after closing time which is an early 6pm so it was a free for all

Positiv We stayed here for 3 nights on our way to The Netherlands in early June it is a very well run camp site the facilities are good great showers and roomy pitch sites. English is spoken well by reception

Negativ l requested a quiet site but was sent to no 25 at the top end by the play park and amongst the residential area which was not quiet at all as we were plagued by a resident child playing football in the evenings which spoilt our evenings and day time relaxing which is a shame as the rest of it is pretty good. It is a popular stopover for many UK going to and from UK CHANNEL Tunnel so lots of one nighters coming and going There is no free WiFi unless you are near reception No entry before 2pm at all No bread delivery

Negativ Only two small female showers in the ladies block. The water flow was very pathetic. I wish they would separate families with children from the mature couples. The field is big enough to do so, and it would improve everybody’s enjoyment and peace.

Negativ Everything really never have I been more disappointed with a campsite in my life, it was a saga. The approach is a nightmare very angled bends and overhanging growing in bushes and trees ready to scrap your caravan no maintenance is happening. Signs to enter campsite is not very obvious, we ended up going up wrong lane very stressful. On arrival I walked to the hotel bar and was greeted with yeah just pitch wherever no asking for my name at all. I had booked for 5 nights. The sanitary amenities are truly dire and dilapidated as you can see from my photos the standard of cleaning very poor, worst ever I have seen. Having a shower was an experience I don't want to repeat the water came on and off the flow was intermittent and claustrophobic no where to place clothes just 2 plastic stick on hooks on back of door. There was building work going on site construction of cabins trucks coming in and out. We saw no designated gravel/grass pitches as advertised only grass you just park where you like ......which means you can as we did, get someone in an enormous motorhome come and park directly beside us, who proceeded to take out their tables and chairs feet away from us facing us. Rough slopey ground we plonked ourselves in the middle of what is basically a field. No shady sites No privacy between sites Much smaller than appears in their photos I assume taken with wide angle Very unpersonable It was so bad we had booked for 5 nights and left after 3 and took the loss at £35 per night its was very very overly priced. It is certainly a "no frills campsite"

Positiv Sea view and Michel the host who is lovely and showers and loos were adequate if not a bit rustic. Bar for drinks and bread and pizzas.

Negativ The access to the pitches not for the nervous or faint hearted very narrow and right angled bends. There are two entrances with card activated booms DO not drive into either if you are towing or you might choose the wrong one and have to reverse. Sea view Pitches on top field are uneven and small for caravans with car., more suited to campervans. Not a lot to do here but small beach and coastal path walks.

Positiv Everything you cannot fault this campsite it starts with the warmest welcome you can imagine they’re aim is for your happiness staying here. We chose a beautiful corner shady site with lovely birds hopping about so peaceful and roomy sites. The camp is enormous but with mature trees in the area we stayed in felt private. Facilities are OK and Great bikes to hire at fair price, nice little shop also. It’s sets the standard high where ever you go next,
