Kampaoh L'Almadrava

Lazy days on the beach calling you? Quiet Platja de l’Almadrava is a couple of minutes’ stroll from your pitch. Platja de l’Arenal (10 minutes’ drive) is a wide expanse of sand popular with surfers and paddleboarders and backed by a few chilled bars, while Platja del Torn (also 10 minutes) is the spot for getting a discreet all-over tan. If you’d rather be exercising than sunbathing, make straight for the network of hiking trails in the rugged foothills of the Reserva Natural Llaberia (half an hour), or explore the Cova de Nadell hiking area (20 minutes), which has spectacular views across to the Med from La Portella de l’Arturo viewpoint (55 minutes’ walk). Back down on the coast, you can spot wading birds on wetland strolls in Parc Natural del Delta de l’Ebre (40 minutes’ drive). Arty types can take an informative guided tour of Fundació Mas Miró (20 minutes) to learn more about the work of Jean Miró, while visitors will be dazzled by the colourful and creative interiors of landmark Modernist mansion Casa Navàs (35 minutes).
