Camping Village Il Fontino

Camping Village Il Fontino is in the province of Grosseto, in the spectacular coastal region of Maremma. It's 15 minutes' drive from here to the province capital Follonica, and about 25 minutes to the ancient seaside town of Castiglione del Pescaia, both famed for their safe waters and peaceful pine forests. Set among the Metalliferous Hills, the nearby medieval town of Massa Marittima has lots of sightseeing options, such as mineral springs; iron, mercury, lignite and copper mines, and foundries, ironworks and olive oil mills. The town is networked by winding alleyways and dotted with monuments such as a Romanesque and Renaissance churches, fountains and piazzas. Just under two hours away, visit the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of San Gimignano, with its 14 ancient watchtowers and masterpieces of 14th- and 15th-century Italian art. Within an hour and a half is the medieval city of Siena, with stacks of sights centred around the spectacular Piazza del Campo.
