Camping Val Vert en Berry

Bringing bikes? You’ll have plenty of places to get out and cycle, including short marked loop trails and long-distance paths like the V49 and V56. If hiking's more your thing, feed up well for a long walk on a section of the GR 654, or choose a local trail for a shorter scenic stroll. Other outdoor activity options nearby include watersports and lake swims at Plan d'Eau de Ligny (15 minutes' drive) or Lac de Sidiailles (half an hour), tree climbing at L'Aventure dans les arbres (40 minutes), and simply strolling around the gardens of Prieuré of Orsan (25 minutes). For more heritage outings, visit the House of George Sand (10 minutes) to learn about the novelist's life, or head to elegant buildings like Château de Sarzay (15 minutes), Château de Bouges (55 minutes) and Château de Valençay (an hour and 10 minutes). If you've got the kids with you, fire up their imaginations with an interactive historical show at Château du Puy (25 minutes).
