添加您的业务详细信息A peaceful, green location surrounded by woodland – but also the convenience of having town amenities like shops within a couple of kilometres? That’s the excellent Indre setting of Camping Val Vert en Berry, just outside the town of La Châtre.
This is a handy location indeed – easily accessed from the main road and with a riverside path leading to the town centre (a walk of less than half an hour) for shops and restaurants. That said, you'll barely notice the proximity of either the road or the town when you’re here, given the peaceful nature of the large, sheltered grass pitches.
It’s a useful spot for outings too, whether you're planning to hit the marked trails for days of hiking or cycling, try out some watersports or explore heritage attractions like Orsan Abbey and the gorgeous Château de Valençay.
Not that you have to go that far to find ways to entertain yourselves – this site has an outdoor swimming pool (open from June to September), an outdoor fitness area, a bowling green and a play area, plus a wifi service for those who’d rather put their feet up and scroll the socials for a while.
Food is a vital element of any holiday, and here you'll have the choice of prepping your own meals to serve at the picnic tables or taking a table at the restaurant to eat from its ‘bistronomic’ menu of homemade dishes created from seasonal and organic products where possible.

Bringing bikes? You’ll have plenty of places to get out and cycle, including short marked loop trails and long-distance paths like the V49 and V56. If hiking's more your thing, feed up well for a long walk on a section of the GR 654, or choose a local trail for a shorter scenic stroll.
Other outdoor activity options nearby include watersports and lake swims at Plan d'Eau de Ligny (15 minutes' drive) or Lac de Sidiailles (half an hour), tree climbing at L'Aventure dans les arbres (40 minutes), and simply strolling around the gardens of Prieuré of Orsan (25 minutes).
For more heritage outings, visit the House of George Sand (10 minutes) to learn about the novelist's life, or head to elegant buildings like Château de Sarzay (15 minutes), Château de Bouges (55 minutes) and Château de Valençay (an hour and 10 minutes). If you've got the kids with you, fire up their imaginations with an interactive historical show at Château du Puy (25 minutes).
