Positiv This is a lovely little site, with fantastic views, and a very quiet atmosphere. The road has little or no traffic and there is no noise intrusion. Carolyn works hard to make sure your stay is as good as it can be.

Positiv I lovey peaceful little place. The views are stunning. The lady that greeted us was very nice and polite. The toilets and showers was very clean and tidy.
The pub up the road was closed when we went but the lady did a little BBQ and you could buy a drink there.
There was a little shop with a honesty box they took card or cash on the site.
If you do go make sure you follow the instructions that you get with your booking confirmation and not your satnav as my google maps took my up very steep roads that was very narrow to, we was in a motorhome.

I do like how they do want all dogs microchipped or tattooed as you are in the country side.
They are definitely dog friendly all dogs do have to stay on a lead as there are cows,sheep and some horses in the surrounding fields but you do not hear them in the night.

Positiv Nice site, very chilled and relaxed.

Negativ Not being able to check in until after 2pm. I like to be set up and settled by then. Lesson learnt, always read the the site descriptions properly when booking.

Also my dogs can be reactive and it wasn't help by the owner (who is lovely I might add) having her dogs running loose and the one coming up to our set up and setting them off. Obviously its her site and she can do what she wants but it wasn't ideal for us.

Be prepared for some challenging lanes. Carolyn kindly supplies alternatives to the sat nav directions but we still ended up with some white knuckle moments towing the van lol.

Just to clarify for future guests, our check-in time is clearly stated as after 2pm. We understand everyone likes to arrive and get settled at different times, but we need this time to prepare the site properly for arriving guests.

Regarding the dogs, we’re sorry that this situation wasn’t ideal for you. We are a working farm and our dogs are part of farm life, so they are sometimes around the property. We do, however, ask guests to let us know exactly how many dogs they are bringing when booking.

In this case, 5 dogs were brought onto the site, but the booking was made and paid for for 3 dogs. This is important because we need accurate information about the number of dogs staying, both for planning and for the comfort and safety of all our guests.

We appreciate that you mentioned our site is peaceful, chilled and relaxed, and that you found us welcoming. We’re sorry that some aspects of your stay didn’t suit you, and we wish you all the best with your future travels.

Positiv What a fabulous campsite. Small adults only on a working farm, we got to watch the new calves feeding which was lovely.

Betti the puppy is adorable!

The new “pub” in a converted horse box is fabulous, it made for a great evening with the owner who kept us laughing.

Very clean, quiet and scenic.
