Small Trees Campsite

Positiv We have just got back to South Wales after a 2 night stay at Small Trees Campsite. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The facilities are fantastic, such a friendly family that run the campsite and the area is beautiful! Our daughter especially enjoyed the rope swing 🤣 We stayed here as a base for visiting Paultons Park, it was perfect! We will definitely do it again. Thank you ♥️

Positiv Loved this small friendly site with lovely loos and great shower and Sophie very helpful! So reasonable with better facilities than bigger more expensive sites.
Great mainly woodland walk to sweet Romsey takes about an hour.

Positiv What a lovely place to stay, this is now are second year returning and would be back a lot more often if we could. Excellent facilities, toilets and shower blocks clean and well stocked. Spacious camping area and although we couldn’t have a fire pit and bbq this year for obvious reasons the availability of on site kindling and logs is normally a winner in our eyes. The night sky view really is a spectacular site and worth the pitch fee on its own. The fee was also really reasonable compared to other sites offering the same services. Sophie and Chris the proprietors are both really nice people and the coffee and tea station in the mornings is a really nice touch. Can’t wait to come again next year. Keep up the good work

Positiv Was there at the end of the season and it was quiet so plenty of choice of pitches. The owner was very welcoming and there was free hot drinks available in the morning. The showers and the toilet block were basic but kept clean and warm.

Positiv The shower was really great!

Negativ Someone in the neighborhood put really loud music at midnight for like an hour and half! We just can’t sleep. The next day the owner told me that it must be a party or a wedding. I can’t recommend you this campsite because if there was a party when we went here it must be another one when you will stay.
The toilet was also really dirty. One of them was completely clogged

Vom Platzbetreiber: Hi Laurie, thanks for staying! sorry there was a party on for the neighbours this is completely out of our control and a little unfair to blame our campsite for this. I responded to your message at 2am and listened for the music and it was silent.
The toilets are cleaned 10 times a day, unfortunately toilets are used after my regular cleaning visits so we have to rely on the cleanliness of other campers not to leave a mess. Also, this was a night of torrential rain so the toilets were understandably being trodden with mud.
We’re pleased you liked the showers, we’ve worked hard to bring decent facilities to our campsite and welcome any suggestions for improvement.

Positiv Lovely site. Friendly owners, flat pitches, quiet neighbours, nice little play area/ tree swing, lovely to have sheep in the adjoining field, close to amenities and tea/coffee available in the morning- fab!

Negativ Shower ran hot-cold-extreamly hot, so had to time rinsing carefully- not a massive problem really.

Positiv Very quiet site with small fruit trees dotted all around. Spacious pitches with small play area for children.
Toilet block with two large showers spotlessly clean and chemical toilets and wash basins.
Washing up area with two large double sinks.
Would definitely return next year. Friendly helpful owner. No WiFi signal so be aware.

Negativ No chemical waste disposal area. But understand why there's not as it's only open for 2.5 weeks a year and a pop up site.
Would have liked a phone charging point.

Positiv Lovely little spot, hot showers and lovely toilet facilities, clearly a labour of love. Plenty of room and so had great privacy. Hosts were so considerate and provided teas and coffee free in the morning along fairly priced necessities such as fires and marshmallows! Perfect for a get away, and young adult friendly!

Negativ No criticism, however do note to get to local attractions or local areas (pubs, shops etc) you will need to drive as it’s not walkable!

Vom Platzbetreiber: Thank you! The walk to romsey takes 40 mins through Squabb Wood so is walkable but not down the main road. I’ve walked it a few times with my children. There is also a bus stop just up from our entrance however local shops are in the main village. Thanks so much for staying and for your lovely comments.

Positiv Great hosts, all facilitaties very clean at all times. Great hot showers with good space.

Nice to chose your pitch and loads of space to choose from. My son loved playing on the swing it was a great place for kids to make friends.

Great location 10 minutes to Paultons.
