Stanley Villa Farm Fishing and Camping

Positiv Everything about this place! Well set out between pods and bell tents. Spacious communal lofge with lots of things for the kids and adults inside. We were in the bell tent with the hot tub and it was lovely!

Really spacious inside and well set out with a double bed and double futon. Gorgeous little log burner and really nice touches inside [music speaker, bedside tables and ornaments]. Hot tub fantastic and the kids loved it!

On site the kids got to feed the animals with alex who was very informative and great with the kids. Ours loved it!

Alex was on hand most of the evening and before shutting the shop came to double check no one needed anything prior to closing.

Sunday morning there was a kids creative activity on in the lodge, our two really enjoyed this and the lady who ran it was fantastic.
Breakfast barms seemed a huge hit and were deffo a hit with all of us.

Positiv Only stayed overnight so can’t comment much on facilities, as we only slept there.

Negativ Hut was like a sauna due to hot weather which is obviously nobody’s fault but windows didn’t open, blinds didn’t fit windows , and light wasn’t working . Had to use our Torch lights.

Positiv Heated pod on-site shop plenty of washing facilities kitchen and communal room great walk around the fishing lakes very very clean site brilliant onsite pizza made fresh good little shop get essentials firepit chairs ect

Positiv Really well looked after by really friendly and accommodating staff. Kids loved it. Nicely looked after site, pods nice and clean (and warm) and kids loved the fishing!!

Positiv The location is ideal, peaceful and well kept. Staff are friendly and helpful.

The hot food on offer is an absolute winner! Camp fires and pizza 😍

It's our second stay here, I'd say of many more! Definitely recommend.

Negativ The toilets was disgusting the shawers had spiders in them the cabin had mould on one side also the noise from drunken famirly was horrible till late at night and the staff who did the shop inside the place tried to scam my misses out of more money for hot drinks by saying the price on the board was wrong and charged her more it was not till I went back there saying they had no right to do that that they gave me some money back for over charging her and scamming her out of more money

Thank you for your review. We did had several issues during your stay that are worth pointing out.

Firstly, one of our members of staff, a young girl, felt very threatened by you and another camper felt she had to stay with her to keep her safe. The issue you had was that you didn't get any free firewood. Our staff member had to point out that the free firewood was just for the Pods with Hot Tubs (which you weren't staying in).

Secondly, you threatened another one of our female staff members because cans of pop had gone up by 25p.

Thirdly, you complained about several other places (not here), and seemed to enjoy complaining in gereral.

There were other issues but I don't feel the need to go on anymore.

Hopefully people will have made their own minds up by this point.

For the first two points, you are blacklisted from our site. The first for several years.

In terms of the specific points you raised in your "review";

The showers are cleaned very regularly, and we have a replacement scheme underway for brand new facilities coming very soon.

There were no other guests that mentioned 'noise from a drunken family'. Staff who do several walks around the site didn't notice anything, and security who do final checks didn't mention anything, but regardless, apologies if this disturbed you.

I hope you can find other more suitable sites in the future.
