Positiv Location is great and the views of the surrounding hills are stunning. Easy access to wonderful local walks, birth life low level and into the hills. 15 mines from the village for shops, pubs and food. Great hosts. Will stay again.

Negativ Only three toilets and two showers. Not enough for the quantity of people on site. Many pitches had several families and they did not follow the 9:30 quiet time.

Positiv Lovely campsite with gorgeous views. Plenty of pitches available to choose from when we turned up just after lunch. Toilets and showers relatively clean. The children loved all the animals on site and there was a river just through a gate to paddle in. Owners were friendly and came round to collect rubbish regularly & offer wood for us to buy for the campfires. We would love to come again.

Negativ Lack of water points, only one washing up point near to the entrance - it’s quite a walk if in the wood field.

Also there was plenty of pitches but no parking space, we had to ask someone to move their car so we could park next to our tent again after popping out. Also not massive amounts of space for the children or dog to play once it’s busy. We even saw one group pitching into the road area with a tent and their windbreak.

Staff didn't stick to times they said for selling wood, we nearly missed them.

Vom Platzbetreiber: We sell HARDWOOD because SOFTWOOD spits and we would have to stop firepits because of the fire risks.

£8 for a basket of logs (that’ll burn for 4 hours), use of a fire pit, kindling and fire lighters delivered to your pitch is very reasonable.

When you visit the Yorkshire Dales, you need to consider the culture you’re visiting. We’ll work hard to make your stay enjoyable, but if you arrive with consumerist demands you’ll be disappointed. We are on site at 1800hrs every night to sell wood and see if we can help with anything. If it takes a few more minutes to get to you, just chill out and enjoy the view.

Positiv Lovely clean site. Come round mornings and evenings taking rubbish ands seeing if you need wood for camp fire.
Very peaceful surroundings.
Great showers and clean toilets.
Animals for the kids were a huge bonus

Positiv Stunning location, but only a short walk to Sedburgh. Simple but spotless toilets / showers. Owners v friendly, came around with logs for sale every night and collected rubbish in the morning. Quiet in the evening in spite of it being full and lots of children. Looks like there are improvements being made possibly to washing up area ??
Would highly recommend, don’t hesitate to book

Negativ Nowhere to wash your hands after visiting the toilet apart from the dishwashing sink !! Maybe this is what the construction is addressing

Good sized pitches with fire pits.
Friendly and helpful owners.
The cute goats and pigs were a bonus.

Negativ The site would benefit from a couple of hand washing basins, and mirrors.

Positiv Access to local town and lots of walking routes. kept very clean, nice and spacious pitches with fire pit area. Welcomed into the site by the owners with firewood and information.

Negativ Bathroom facilities. All the facilities were very well kept, clean, stocked up with loo roll. My only gripe is there wasn't really enough for the amount of people this time of the year. It's summer holidays so it's to be expected.
