Excellent site on working farm .
Main Field primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Beautiful landscapes, I loved the panoramic views, waterfalls and river walks and accessible fields and paths nearby for great dog walks. I liked the basic simplicity of the campsite, it had all the facilities I needed including Elsan disposal.
Disliked The long walk uphill to the village to the nearest pub - took me more than 15 minutes!

Overall excellent site , pitches level and nice and clean throughout
Main Field primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Stayed for 1 night with my daughter , quiet well set up site , shower and toilet block was clean and tidy , open barn area was clean and tidy with more than enough room to sit and relax and eat if weather isn’t on side . Very relaxed environment, can buy logs for fire if needed and isn’t to far to main town of sedbergh , river flows through right past the end of the entrance gate , you can stand on road and look down excellent if you find the water sound therapeutic, enjoyed and we’ll definitely be booking again to stay longer than the one night.

Nice setting at the start of the Dales journey
Main Field primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Really liked the surrounding hillsides, trees and grazing animals from the bottom field, but that is further from the main facilities at the entrance. Check-in was straightforward and can select your own pitches together if travelling as a group. If you have a large vehicle would advise to stay at the top end of the bottom field and not to go down the slope if it's wet slippy conditions.
Disliked Narrow road access with stone walls, last mile was quite a tight fit for motorhomes
