Howdy Glamping and Campsite

Positiv Everything! Lovely spot!
Only a 20 minute drive to pooley bridge and ullswater, such a beautiful area.
Had so many little extras just that made my stay even better! Loved the little club house! With a sink, fridge and phone charging point, was super useful to have the use of a microwave too.
A lovely little walk to the local pub, with some friendly cows on the way!!
Will 100% be returning.

Positiv Peaceful campsite with lovely owners.

Positiv Facilities where ok

Negativ Only one shower, stole leads tried to contact which signal isn't the best tried to ring to use dryer so used it and was going to leave a donation but went back to find leads and towels stolen messaged and they where placed back with a note to say we owed £2. I was going to leave a donation and i tried to contact but couldn't get through to pinch people's belongings isn't the best plus to top it off only 2 leads came back which we have 3 dogs they where £16 a lead so I'm owed more than the £2 I think it's disgusting.
The camping field is very small

Why anyone would use a dryer that’s not for public use to dry dog leads and towels is beyond me in the first place … but to then accuse the owners of stealing them is quite another .
Thank goodness 99% of our guests are a joy to host ! 🌿💚🌿

Positiv Everything: the welcome, the campsite, it's quiet location and the facilities. Tom & Andri just the best. We will be back :)

Negativ Waze app took me to the wrong farm but that might've been the address from PitchUp. Quick call to Tom who said use Google maps. Got there no problem. And clear instructions where to pitch.

Positiv Very convenient overnight stop off enroute to Scotland. We were in a camper on the hard standing which was level. Enjoyed walking around the glamping site- very quirky

Negativ Quite a long walk to the toilets and shower from the campsite, all looking a bit ‘end of season’ tired.

Positiv Peaceful site. Very welcoming. Really enjoyed my stay and will be back

Positiv I loved how cosy this little campsite was, it was so peaceful, the owner came to welcome us and made my child feel welcome telling her where she could go to play etc, we couldn’t believe how much facilities there was for the price, a full utility room which we didn’t eclectic as we’ve paid more more for just a Porta-loo on site, the location was beautiful and not far from the Lake District, there was no light pollution, it was tidy and peaceful. We will 1000% be back but for longer next time as we loved it so much, our favourite camp to date!

Positiv The quirky setting almost in the woods

Negativ Communication was lacking but was free to roam the campsitr

Positiv Stunning and unique place, Ive never quite seen a campsite like it. Nice and quiet. The glamping accomodation in the woods was really special, although I took the campervan option. A warm welcome by Andri, Tom and their dogs! Farmhouse kitchen offered toilets, shower, washing up facilities, a washing machine, microwave and the use of a fridge freezer. Plenty of wood to buy and firepits. Far too many sites these days are missing a trick by not using firepits and by not allowing fires. Its what campings all about. Very eco friendly with recycling bins. Tent field is pretty, level and surrounded by trees and an open field next door. Stunning sunsets. Penrith, Ullswater and plenty of heritage sites nearby. I'll be back with Alfie for sure. Pity I cant upload the photographs as Pitch Up websute says they are too small? 🙂‍↕️
