Positiv Good pitches. Lots of space given. Some pitches were on a slight slant but most are flat.

Being in a pub beer garden meant that entertainment was close and the pub had a friendly feel. Our kids enjoyed the pool table and darts (teenagers). The town was a short drive or slightly longer walk and had a coop and spar that were well stocked.

Negativ Toilets were clean but on the Monday morning in short supply as the pub didnt open at 7.30. There were two showers, my partner used one and was happy, I used another and the temperature was hard to regulate. I don't mind too much but it's worth a mention.

Positiv One man needing a break from cancer treatment, and his dog popped along on a whim. Friendly place. Good beer. Great pub. Huge garden. I can see why it was so busy. OK it was Bank Holiday weekend so was mega busy. Facilities were clean and new but bijou and compact. Bins emptied in the mornings. Toilets scrubbed. All that good stuff.

Got some carry out grub from the bar. Even scrounged some margarine off them. ( left mine on the kitchen table at home) .

Give it a try. Maybe not on a bank holiday.

Negativ That bloke that had a microphone and was trying to be Elvis on Sunday night. He was awful. Does he have a chip shop?

Positiv Pitch was pretty flat ,staff were wonderful could use toilets when pub was open and dogs very welcomed also had small outdoor toilets and showers and outside water tap drinking water and small washing up area

Negativ Could do with mop and bucket outside showers so person has finished inside to give it wipe out , did notice the trains going by but never bothered us at all just give them a wave

Positiv Owner friendly , good local welcoming feeling when checking in, clean and tidy , park where you want has its good and bad points , overall good value for the money

Negativ Only 2 electric points with multi outlets connected in the whole field so free for all parking makes it hard to connect to the electric but possible if get there early ..
(Long electric lead needed as everyone parks around them)

Train line above you but we only had two trains passing on our stay and lasted seconds when passing … not a issue for us just worth mentioning

Positiv Good old fashioned campsite with a great mix of clientele.
Geoff (Jeff) and Helen were very welcoming and regularly cleaned the facilities. The Guinness was great, just don’t have the first pint of the day. The pitch we got was fairly level, we arrived early on a Friday afternoon so had a good selection. There was live music in the beer garden on the Saturday evening.

Negativ The electric supply was a bit like honey to a bee, almost everyone pitched around the two multiple outlets but they had more than enough sockets. I’d advise bringing a 30mtr cable.

Positiv Pretty level pitches, Clean toilet and shower, Extremely helpful Landlord and Landlady. The pub atmosphere was friendly, Leeds United on the telly, what more could you as for! Our first tri here just for an overnighter but i' sure we'll be back.

Negativ Nothing of note. There's a train line nearby but trains seldom coming through and certainly still a rural feel.

Positiv ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Punchbowl, you have been amazing!

​Fantastic stay with lovely hosts! The site is quiet and peaceful, with spotless showers and toilets.

​It’s a brilliant spot for families and dogs—our little girl loved the trampoline and the animals, and our two spaniels felt right at home. Food yesterday was delicious, so we’re eagerly anticipating the highly recommended Sunday roast.

​Clean, welcoming, and highly recommended!

Positiv All was perfect , first time away in our campervan, the idea was testing out our van , awning, etc . Field & amenities was good, pub landlord was very friendly, would highly recommend recommend it, will be going again, hopefully wether might be better.
