Camp Holkham

Positiv First time visiting this pop up campsite, superb to be in Holkham estate after the day visitors have left, only crowds are deer and geese, and the Adnams beer truck is a delightful addition! Great pop up facilities (temporary loos, showers, washing up point, waste disposal including chemical toilet).
And a short bike ride or decent walk off road into Wells.
Already looking forward to next year!

Positiv The estate is absolutely beautiful and this is the second time we had come back to stay

Negativ We were pitched near a large group of woman who non stop shouted and drank and it completely ruined our stay we didn’t get a moments peace. Super disappointed as really wanted a relaxing break and I really wish groups who just want to get drunk would be discouraged from booking here.

Other note would be the dog poo bin near the site was overflowing and dog poo bags piled high on the ground next to it was pretty gross.

The loudness of the group has made us think twice about coming back next year. Perhaps pitches could be a bit bigger and flexibility to move if there is a drunk group to move to a quieter space.

Positiv Amazing staff/stewards. So kind and attentive

Negativ Absolutely no fault of the camp and part of British camping but we had a LOT of ants in our living pod. Again wouldnt put me off coming again but would bring some powder

Negativ Unfortunately had very noisy people next to us, noise until late then their children started again at 6 in the morning, no thought for others. But nothing to do with owners so will go again.

Negativ Washing up facilities are not enough as you have to wait in a queue but this is only for feedback as hopefully they will find ways to set up more sinks however this won’t put me off to go back

Positiv Being on the Holkham estate with the cycle hire, walled garden and lovely walks. Seeing the large herd of dear with their fauns outside the the camping ground. The proximity to Wells- next - the Sea and Holkham beach.

Negativ No large sinks to wash and clean ones teeth.

Positiv Great site in a great location, pitch was level, site staff very friendly and helpful, the showers and toilets are kept very clean though out the day and nights could not fault them at all ,showers and toilets are super modern to be honest better than a lot of other sites with static facilities, showers are hot and powerful toilets are great, hook up are position well, the setting with in the grounds of the hall is great, short 5min walk to the hall where you can hire bikes for a few hours or the day they have a good selection including kids and electric bikes, there is also a cafe there and other activities to do, would definitely recommend this site for a pop up campsite it’s unbelievable great
