Positiv We stayed in a camping pod for the first time, normally we tent camp. Was given a key to for our pod to lock and unlock and a code for the toilet/ shower block. The pod was a Great size and space for myself and my son.
We Parked the car on the gravel in front of the pod. Bench was also outside the pod for us to use. Nice little grass space at the side for small play.
Inside there was Plenty of plug sockets, the sofa/pull out bed was comfy to sit on, the supplied fridge kept our food cold, there was a heater supplied to plug in if it got cold which we did use even with the day time heat as at night was a little chilly.
Both doors to the pod open fully as well as a little window at the back of the pod.
Camping pods are a 1 min walk away from the toilet/shower block and the sinks for washing up your pots. Lovely little farm shop and great walking routes to explore.
The playground on site is small but my son (& his friend) loved it; swings, wooden climbing frame and a general play structure. The whole site was very clean, never saw rubbish on the floors. We saw the maintenance crew collecting the communal bins several times a day & the team doing their rounds to ensure safety.
Pool table was also available for 50p a game, small games room so had to wait an hour or so for it to become free to play pool but the room was lovely and cool, nice book shelf and toilet also in the room.
Ladies at the reception desk were so very lovely and made us feel welcome upon our arrival and departure!

Negativ The pod was clean overall but when I looked closer, the corners and sides of the floors had thick dirt and cobwebs. I pulled out the sofa bed to ensure my son hadn’t left any toys or any had been kicked under and there was old wrappers and general rubbish underneath it (not from us)
I’m not sure if the pods are fully deep cleaned between bookings?! Luckily I bought antibacterial wipes and spray with us so I did my own deep clean surfaces wise and bed frame wise before we fully unpacked on arrival.
I would advise to bring a thick double mattress topper as we felt every spring in the mattress. We unfortunately only had a normal double fitted sheet.

Positiv Very well kept grass. Very clean wash block. Washing up facilities good with hot water. Well-run site.

Negativ Camping on a steep slope. A lot of noise from other campers on Friday and Saturday nights till late hours.

Positiv We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed our time here. The park is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and everything is exceptionally clean. The showers and toilets were always spotless and smelled fresh, which we really appreciated. The whole site is very well looked after, making it a lovely place to relax. We had a great experience and hope to come back again in the future. Thank you!

Positiv Excellent toilet/washing and washing up facilities that were like new. Really clean and quiet site.

Negativ The non-electric camp is on a significant slope.

Positiv Had the best weekend here. Never seen cleaner toilets or showers on a campsite in my 20 years of camping. Showers were free too and not the ones that shut off every two minutes, a proper warm, good pressure shower. 15 min scenic walk to Trackside brewery, 20 mins walk across the fields to get into Buxton. Big Morrisons a 3 min drive away. Visited by baby cows every night ☺️ Lovely staff all round, the site is so well kept. We will be back many a time I think.

Negativ The only tiny thing I can think of was being woken up by people slamming the toilet door on a night. Not really the campsites fault (probably mine for pitching right next to them) but maybe a soft closer on the door might help but I guess it needs to slam shut for security. Next time I’ll just camp further away from the toilet block.

Negativ I stayed in one of the pods, I’d have liked an 11am checkout, rather than 10 am. Just felt a bit rushed.

Positiv We visited Buxton Carnival weekend and had a great time. The site was fantastic with friendly staff and fabulous clean facilities. It was also quiet and laid-back. There was a lovely farm shop on-site where we bought some delicious bacon and sausage rolls.

Negativ We knew the camping field was sloped so we had to think a bit about how we pitched up.
