Positiv Our first trip as touring caravan owners, so chose this beautiful small set up to start us off. (Very experienced tent campers but getting too old for camping!) Immaculate field with just 10 pitches. Lay out is in a straight line so you have amazing views instead of looking at each other! Basic facilities as described, but it was heaven on earth! Jack came to see us soon after we arrived for a chat and told us about the pubs and things to do in the area. Such a Gent! Fresh eggs available, in the honesty box next to the path on the way to the camping field. looked like there was always 2x6 boxes available fresh every day. (Probably sell out quick when the site is full) they were lovely and very big too! Amazing timing on our part as the weather was gorgeous and reluctantly came home today 8/7 just as the heatwave hit. After reading comments on many reviews in the area (not necessarily here) i'd like to say my EE hub worked absolutely in this location. If you are a walker/hiker/cycler, this is a cracking location for it. We chose this site for its tranquility and beautiful views. Star gazing would have been amazing there too, if the fresh air didn't zonk me out and the hubby wasnt watching the footy! Definately on my to do list when we visit again! Cannot wait!

Positiv Spacious pitches in peaceful surroundings. Basic site as per advert with only green waste (sachets available on site) working farm and welcomed of a morning by the cows, cockerels and sunrises. Lovely to see the hens wandering the field. Lovely owner with a detailed sheet of local pubs, walks etc. The Royal Oak is definitely worth a visit as the food and service are great. A wander down to Monyash and a pint in the Bulls Head was a lovely treat just be careful on the walk down as the roadside is very overgrown so means walking in the road. A lovely respite from the hot weather with a lovely cool breeze due to the sites elevation

Negativ Not a dislike just a mention, Slight intrusive road noise from main road (passing motorbikes) in the distance but not an issue at all whilst sitting out as the country sounds override it and didn't hear a thing inside.

Positiv What a nice place in the middle of beautiful countryside Small site 5 pitches but perfect for what we wanted. Fresh eggs from the farm , close to loads of you want to go out or walking straight from the pitch

Positiv This is our go too for a couple of days relaxing in a peaceful, quiet and beautiful setting. Jack is always welcoming and enjoys a chat when we arrive. We bike ride around the area visting a couple of nearby pubs, we have walked to them in the past and is a nice walk.

Positiv Small peaceful site and friendly owner. Electric and water on pitch with spacious grass areas next to the hardstanding pitches. Second time here and will definitely return again as plenty to explore in the area.

Positiv Jack was a lovely host and gave us an informative information sheet. Was quite remote but ok for one night.

Negativ Shame there aren’t facilities (toilet/shower) but we did know that, but again for one night it was ok.
