Positiv Lovely lady owner, left to it, none regimental, very cheap and undersold. Views lovely, toilet and shower facilities immaculate and stunning views. Will be back.

Negativ It was busier than I would have liked but it was bank holiday and the first night there were some interesting smells coming from one of the groups. ( they were smoking pot).

Positiv Depending on what you're looking for in a site, Burrs Manor couldn't be more perfect. It feels like you're in an auditorium with 360d glorious views of open fields, rolling hills, crags and stunning sunsets.
Unusual for campsites these days - Burrs Manor seems to accept groups, and i can honestly say it was a delight to meet young adults, students and extended families have the opportunity to gather and relax together.
There was very little "loud music" of an evening and most just seemed happy to gather round campfires and talk and enjoy each other's company.
The age range of campers varied from toddlers to retired couples. Kit varied from single mountain tents to full blown motorhomes (with the new intake of roof tents and extensions)
It's a non-electric site, with slightly sloping ground - so you may need to level your vehicle depending on where/how you park up.
No designated pitches, but everyone who was there over the May BHW was respectful of personal space (apart from my dog - who was determined to greet everyone trecking to the toilet/shower block!)
Facilities are basic, but clean - and unisex, which took some getting used to at first but - we all need to go don't we?!? It would have been beneficial having access to more showers (there's only two) and a few more toilets, on a busy weekend there were queues but no one complained standing in line)
Additional fields were opened up as the BHW intake increased - so we never felt hemmed in and overcrowded.
Coffee and bacon butties were delivered on site by the lovely owner on her quad bike in the morning, and you could order pizzas in the evening.
Couldn't have asked for a better location to explore the area from - we will definitely make use of this site again.

Positiv Great location. Facilities very clean. Quiet.

Negativ We hired a bell tent expecting there to be a futon bed. There were two single blow up mattresses, one of which was completely broken, the other very flat by the morning, but manageable (if you're ok with sleeping on the floor). The owner said she would sort the problem the second night. We were provided with a couple of sleeping mats.
We made it work but we had paid for the tent expecting a futon.

Positiv Friendly lady who runs the farm offers food and drinks for good prices, plenty of room for all. Close to Buxton, Bakewell and more. Fantastic weekend.

Positiv It's a field on a hill.
Only one shower.
Other than that no complaints.

Positiv The lady was really helpful. We had trouble putting our tent up. (3 adults, 3 children, 1 baby). She tried helping us, despite it raining, and then after we failed at making the tent, kindly offered her bell tent for the night! We had a great stay, despite the weather and our own tent issues. Thanks so much!
