Negativ Shouldn't put child friendly bin in the play area where food is consumed

Seems like a good idea but the open bin attracts hundreds of wasps.

Bin should be outside the play area and fully sealed.

Could do with a toilet block at the top tent pitch.
Nothing special needed just a toilet as can be a trek if needed at night.

Positiv Loved the quiet nature of the place. Lots of space for kids to run about
The pool is a great extra- it did seem to be very strong in chlorine though.

Negativ Our pod was very very basic. It was right next to the road too our dogs weren’t ever allowed to be without a lead. There was nothing to do on the site and the pool was closed. A kettle in the pod would have been nice for a morning cuppa

Positiv Nice and clean site. Children loved the park. Shop was okay. Nice little pork/chips hut open on a few of the nights.

Negativ Swimming pool is a hit and miss due to only allowing 24 in at time. The pool was out of order the day we was due to go because of the water. The site could have let guests know but instead they waiting untill children were dressed and at the door before knowing we was unable to use it. More signage is needed to find reception. Women on reception need to smile more and be more welcoming. Cost for WiFi is too much. £8 a day!!

Positiv Site was well maintained and clean staff friendly. Burger van was great good value and quality food.

Negativ Toilets were quite a long way from the field where our tent was pitched especially with 2 young girls. The pool was closed due to a maintained issue for the duration of our Stay. Which was disappointing as this was the main reason we picked this site as had stayed here before in a pod and girls loved the pool.

Positiv Everything was nice about the camp site and the facilities.

Negativ Only a small issue, but it was hard to get a time slot to use the swimming pool and if it could be open until 5 instead of 4 then would perhaps give more possibility of having a swim.
The price was a bit steep for myself and my son for a non-electric pitch. The pitch could have up to 6 people, but I felt there should be a discount if less people or smaller tent.

Positiv Good facilities; fantastic playground, swimming pool (need to book), decent shop, washing up area, modern toilets, and lots of camping types. Roads were very well maintained and was a safe place to bring children.

Non electric pitch was quiet and large.

Negativ Non electric field was very sloped and very busy when we arrived. Field was quite far from facilities; sort of feels like non electric is a bit forgotten about with no facilities nearby. Electric pitches either had good views, or were near the playground and were flat.

The toilets and showers, although modern and clean when we arrived were pretty disgusting by the end of it, and seemed like they were maybe cleaned once in the four days we were there based upon what I saw.

Given it was the most expensive non electric we saw in the area it probably didn't justify the price point.

Positiv The views were stunning, the campsite wasn’t too loud. Despite being told bedding wasn’t provided, it was. The pods were quite roomy

Negativ It wasn’t glamping, it was more like being on a school trip in a shed. Every other glamping pod I’ve stayed at has had a glamorous aspect, tea, coffee, a kettle, sometimes even a small fridge and a way to cook. Empty pods had their outside lights left on all night by the cleaning crew. Our shower was used by someone else, we only left it unlocked so that we could all shower one after another without having to lock and unlock each time. As far as glamping goes we will not be returning. There was nothing to make this a better experience than camping other than there being proper beds. These should not be advertised as glamping pods, just enclosed pods or sheds with beds. Nothing glamorous to report at all. Check in was far too late considering check out time. You don’t get to spend your first day doing anything other than unpack and figure out a way to cook without a cooker, microwave and a no bbq rule.
