Em va agradar We needed an overnight stop on our Peak District adventure which allowed dogs had electric and and we could have an outdoor fire This site has all of that. As it says inits description it’s a small basic quiet site just of the main road. The facilities are clean and maintained. We read the previous reviews as always and I think some are a bit harsh as you get exactly what’s in the description a no frill basic site with a very friendly host

No em va agradar Having paid for electric hook up you still have to pay £1 to use the shower. The showers and the toilets were not the cleanest. No hand soap or dryer in the toilets. Feel it is overpriced at £30 a night.

We were forced to put meters in due to continuous abuse of facilities by minority few
Recently we saw 3 foot electric heater on a stand ..inside the tent on full blast and it was 14c outside ....heater was on during the day while they went out I saw it

Showers and toilets Doors being left open ... lights left on...toilet paper going missing .. hand soap bottles vanish
Have you any suggestions which may help
especially with irresponsible minority few

No em va agradar Do not stay at this campsite. I can't believe I did not read previous reviews. I booked in Hart Toilet and shower facilities were terrible. The campsite was just like a back garden to an old bungalow. Check-in Services was to phone a number and you got allocated a pitch. We stayed on the site for approximately three minutes.. This would not have been a holiday.

3 MINUTES YOU WERE THERE AND YOU MANAGED TO MAKE ASSESSMENTS And ITS NOT A CAMPSITE ??? Wow
THIS IS FIRST TIME IN 5 YEARS SOME ONE WHO SAYS ITS NOT A CAMPSITE. Let me explain to you in simple words
My campsite is clean tidy and have basic facilities that's what really matters and have spent over £20000
To provide facilities. Units are Professional manufactured by UK company
We have total 18 pitches and people who come and stay 90% like the site but then we have 10% who we cannot satisfy regardless of what we do
It's OK I understand
I know other campsite owners have similar issues from time to time.
They get some type of who cannot be satisfied as well
They advise me not to respond

Em va agradar Quiet campsite in nice location, lovely walks straight from the site. Sufficient facilities.

No em va agradar Not overly well kept, quite a bit of rubbish on pitch and around the site. Electric hook up didn’t work on our pitch so had to use next doors.

Em va agradar The pitches were well-spaced, there were several freshwater outlets, the electrical hookups were reliable, and the site is well-placed for Bakewell, Buxton, and visits around the Peaks and Dales. The price was very reasonable and site staff did come check in with us every few days.

No em va agradar There was only one shower in operation during our stay, and the lights didn’t work in it. During our trip, there weren’t so many people that we couldn’t shower, but if the site was busier this may have been an issue. It would also be helpful to have coat hooks in the loos.

No em va agradar I had to stand on the WC to reach the slot for the £1 to have a shower. Just a little bit unsafe!

Em va agradar Easy access to walks in the area. Shower was nice and clean.

No em va agradar 2 showers on site but 1 was permanently locked which led to que's every morning. Could do with a tin bin to put ash from firepits which are allowed. A very loud Cockerill who was awake at 4am every morning !!!!

Em va agradar Quiet pitch, but fortunate to get what we considered the best pitch.

No em va agradar No facilities to speak of. Very small, basic toilets. Only one of two showers working (£1) but nothing cleaned on a regular basis. Junk left lying (example an old broken toilet)
The pub next door was permanently closed, so nothing around within walking distance in the evening.
Quite disappointing, but the location was great and we still enjoyed the camping spot - just made the most of what we had available.
Inexpensive, so that was helpful.
No WiFi or signal available!

But sometime we cannot please everyone !!!!
You say no facilities to speak of

but you did use the washing up facilities
No complaint there from you
Toilet facilities are professionally built by British company fit for purpose... is it not ... yet you are critical ??can you explain Are you not camping and in countryside ? ?
Please explain where was this broken toilet???? No such thing there is no toilet broken anywhere on site

Toilet facilities are cleaned twice everyday and guess what I clean them myself so you you are not being truthful
Junk lying you not mentioned where and what kind of junk .... please tell me where is this junk on site our site is clean and tidy we have 7 bins plus Commercial bin
