喜欢 Lots of shaded areas - weather was 30+ the weekend we came!
Showers and toilets nice and clean.
The visiting chippy van was brilliant! Great price for 4 of us to eat!
Hosts where lovely and nothing was too much trouble

不喜欢 No activities or play area for the kids. Other than that it was a nice stay.
Ground u beneath the pitch we were on was solid - full of tree roots and rocks - lots of bent tent pegs.

Hoping for history? You've come to the right place. Take a trip to Chirk Castle (10 minutes' drive) and discover one of the most impressive Marcher fortresses on the border between England and Wales. Afterwards, similarly scenic and historic times are to be had at the National Trust-run Erddig Estate (15 minutes), a spectacular Grade I-listed property with fab formal grounds. Water has done such a lot to shape the Welsh landscape, and the area surrounding James Caravan Park has a fair bit of the wet stuff to admire. Check out the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct (10 minutes) on the Shropshire Union Canal to see an exceptional feat of Victorian engineering, and stick around to take a boat ride by its arches along the river Dee. For a break with one foot in Wales and the other in England, trundle along by train to Chester Zoo (or drive there in 30 minutes), take yourself off to Tate Liverpool (50 minutes) for art and culture, or – if you really want to make the kids' day – organise a jaunt to the high-adrenaline rides at Gulliver's World Theme Park (50 minutes).
