If your main requirement for a place to stay in Powys is a peaceful spot with lovely green scenery all around, Carmel Caravan Park could well be the place for you. This place is rural and remote, with rather wonderful views of the hills all around – just the spot for a proper countryside chill-out. There’s a pub about five minutes’ drive away in the village of Cefn Coch, but that’s about it for local facilities; for shops, places to eat and other urban amenities you’ll need to head to Welshpool, about 25 minutes away. There are plenty of practical facilities on site, though – including a launderette, washing-up areas and a guest fridge-freezer, plus a smart modern bathroom block with accessible facilities and underfloor heating to keep your toes warm. In such a thoroughly rural setting you’ll really be able to throw yourselves into farming life if you want to. This is a family-run site where the owners have been offering a warm welcome for more than 60 years – and these days that includes offering guests the chance to help out with the everyday running of the place through things like lamb feeding in spring. Even if you don’t choose to get stuck in, you’ll no doubt want to say hello to the farm’s friendly pet sheep; they’re amenable to being taken for a walk too. For other countryside pursuits, there’s coarse and fly fishing available on site, and plenty of places to get out for walks nearby. Back on site, there’s a playground for the kids and a secure dog run where four-legged guests can get the zoomies out of their system.

喜欢 This is the second time we've stayed here in the last few weeks, the first time was in a trailer tent on one of the hottest weeks of the year, this time with a car tent.
And we parked in a different place which really did cancel out all the negatives of my last review, which I believed it would.
The facilities are really clean and great every time we used them. The site is so peaceful and pleasant.
Honestly believed we may have found are go to places when visiting family in Welshpool. And the kids (aged 14 to 7) love it, my son actually requested returning to this site just for the showers.

不喜欢 Bit uneven where we decided to pitch up and with bugs/flys but I believe, both of those was our faults as we has full choice where to pitch and decided to pitched up next to the stream.

不喜欢 Wifi. Paid £3 for wifi to then find thats for 1 device for 1 day and it was terrible signal and couldnt use it. If the wifi is that bad should be free.

喜欢 My family and I went for a 2 nights stay in the Carmel Caravan Park with our tent. There were great facilities in the site: electric hook up, clean toilets and showers. The site itself is very peaceful and family- friendly. They have an onsite play area, which unfortunately we didnt had a chance to explore it. Sharon, who always visiting the grounds, is very friendly and approachable. We went to Barmouth beach which is 1 hour ish drive from the campsite - this was highly recommended by Sharon).
Sharon was very helpful when we called her to check something for us.
We really enjoyed our stay and hopefully will be back soon.

喜欢 Where do I start, the pitches were huge, Sharon and her mum were so friendly. We had visits from a lamb which was an added perk. The showers and toilets were very clean and checked regularly. There is a large play area with an enclosed dog run that runs parallel to a field with a donkey who loves running alongside the dogs (very funny to watch)! The scenery is stunning, your sat in between two hills and there is no traffic noise (bliss). Either way, we will be visiting again!

不喜欢 Unfortunately, there is a man who lets this whole experience down. We witnessed a few occasions where he’d been very rude for absolutely no reason, including to ourselves. So if you avoid him, the site is completely faultless!

Kept children's park with enclosed dog walking filed in viewing distance from the park. Lots of scenic grounds to walk and explore. Owners are friendly and welcoming.

喜欢 Lovley clean park .showers and toilet block one of the cleanest weve had when camping .Sharon the owner is lovley and very friendly, she works so hard and always cleaning the shower block and doing her rounds .we had a huge pitch and ahd a fab time and definitely recommend and will return in the summer .
