This is such a pretty site – tucked in a quiet glen beside an unruffled duck pond, and embraced by bluebell woods full of red squirrels, badgers and woodpeckers – that you may never want to leave this peaceful little wildlife haven… But when you do manage to drag yourself away from Ninham Country Holidays, it’s just a short ride through gorgeous countryside to the safe, sandy beaches Shanklin and Sandown Bay. The Orchard pitching area has spacious, level landscaped pitches divided by hedging and mature specimen trees. Guests have access to modern bathroom facilities, with renewable technologies such as solar water heating and rainwater harvested flushing toilets. There's also an outdoor heated swimming pool at this park (open late May to early September, and operated on a regulated booking system). TV and games rooms are also on hand for keeping the kids busy in mid and high-season periods. A firm emphasis is placed on being nature-friendly, and all guests are expected to adhere to a strict recycling policy and the countryside code. Please note: well-behaved dogs are accepted for most of the year, but not during the school summer holidays. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times on site.

喜欢 Loved this campsite and would highly recommend for anyone on a short or long break. Looks like

Pitch was flat, clear and fully serviced facilities were excellent. Toilet block is in the centre of the site so easy access from wherever your pitch.

不喜欢 The single thing I would say is that the bins for recycling or general waste are at the site entrance (a bit of a walk) and there are no other bins around the site which made it a little cumbersome to go back and forth. But that’s being very picky!

喜欢 Good service and facilities. Good location and the grounds well maintained to support local wildlife, including red squirrels that we spotted.

不喜欢 Never did find the pool or common room, not an issue for us, but perhaps some signage would help?

喜欢 We spent 3 nights here and loved every minute. The site is clean and thoughtfully spaced out pitches Lovely swimming pool and play areas. We highly recommend and we definitely would love to come.

喜欢 Good spacious pitches, quiet at night, toilets and showers were always clean with loads of availability. Swimming pool was a great extra for camping and relaxing at the end of the day.

Use PO36 9PJ to find the site - the drive is off the Newport Rd A3056. Arrivals from the Newport Rd: go past the park entrance and drive 400 metres to the supermarket roundabout. Turn back and continue up to the private lane (located on the left). From Ryde take the A3055 and turn onto the A3056 at Lake. Continue for 1km, passing the supermarket; the site drive is 400 metres up on the left. 10mph please on all the site's access roads.
