Leap and lollop your way to Harebeck Holidays for peaceful rural breaks with mountain views near the Cumbrian coast. Set a mile outside the pretty village of Gosforth and 10 minutes' drive from Seascale beach, this site is perched on the western edge of the Lake District, making a great base for days out around the river Esk and Ravenglass. The Wasdale Valley, where Harebeck Holidays is located, has lots of mountain views to liven up the scenery, including vistas over Scafell Pike, England's tallest peak. Let yourself get fully immersed in the countryside or try paddleboarding on Wast Water – and don't worry if your clothes come back a little on the damp side, as the site has a handy drying room where you can leave your boots and outdoor gear to air out. Other on-site facilities include a bathroom block with two separate showers and three toilets, as well as extras like a changing mat, step, toddler seat and hair dryer if you need them; bath towels are provided. Outside, there's secure lock-up bike storage available on request, as well as a washing-up unit with hand towels provided. When it comes to sourcing provisions, you can order eggs or a meat or veg pack from reception (at least 48 hours prior to arrival) or buy a disposable barbecue pack from site staff. Stocking up for the long haul? Harebeck Holidays is happy to take supermarket deliveries too. There's also a lovely coffee shop in Gosforth, just 15 minutes' walk away. You may also get the chance to go on a farm tour where the owners explain their agricultural methods and show off some of their prize animals.

喜欢 What a beautiful friendly site. We stayed in the gypsy wagon. Clean tidy and very warm. Heating was put on prior to our arrival. Good location for visiting surrounding area. Toilets and showers clean and hot water in the shower. Would highly recommend anyone to stop here.

喜欢 We stayed in a van conversion. The location is very good, and close to where we wanted to cycle. The toilet block is good, clean, and only a short walk from the pitch. We briefly met the owners and they were both very friendly.

不喜欢 The only issue for us were the cats, there are a lot of them, and as we cook off the back of our van they became an issue. If you cook internally then this is not a problem, and in other reviews you will see their friendliness as a plus.. Are you a cat or dog person :) Other than this it was a pleasant stay.

喜欢 Beautiful caravan with everything we needed! There were so many cats too all of which were so friendly. And the owners were especially kind. Me and my partner had the car smashed into at a previous hike spot and they were very accommodating considering our situation being easy that our check in time was much later than expected. Excellent spot and everything was clean and wonderful we really enjoyed our stay thank you!

Sheep Fold 牧羊人小屋

喜欢 Great little clamping place. We stayed in sheep fold and there’s everything we needed and well decorated. Toilet annd bathroom is very clean. Even we stayed during storm Dave and we felt safe inside this cosy pod. Definitely visit again!

喜欢 Such a lovely site. Quiet and beautiful views. Some lovely touches too - washing up liquid, towels in the shower, a little shop in an outdoor cupboard with an honesty box.

不喜欢 Just the lock on the toilet door. Difficult to close and more difficult to get out! It is February though so likely the door is swollen.

喜欢 The view and the gentleman who greeted us

不喜欢 The size of the pitches are very small
The toilet block is in major need of upgrade . The shower was disgusting!! Other peoples hair and what looked like gloop in the plug hole. Anything insect wise was in there. The sooner I could get out of there the better.
Walking around the campsite you had to watch out for car poo.

来自经理: The reviews were from Pitchup who look at the reviews evertone gives. Since your visit we have ypgraded the electucs so lights come on automatucally and have added background heating to the showerblock.
There were other people staying on site and we cannot be responsible for the state the showers are left in after use. They are cleaned every day and there are cleaning materials left in the showerblock if someone wanted to clean a facility themselves.
So sorry you were disappointed.

For time along the coast, treat yourself to an ice cream at Seascale beach (10 minutes), explore Whitehaven (25 minutes) and its Georgian port or set off to spot seabirds on the cliffs around St Bees (20 minutes). Rock climbing, scrambling, guided walks, bike hire and horseback riding are all available in the local area. To keep the kids happy, take them to permanent activity centres like go-karting in Maryport (45 minutes) or the indoor climbing wall at Kendal (an hour and 20 minutes).
