Leap and lollop your way to Harebeck Holidays for peaceful rural breaks with mountain views near the Cumbrian coast. Set a mile outside the pretty village of Gosforth and 10 minutes' drive from Seascale beach, this site is on the western edge of the Lake District, making a great base for days out around the river Esk and Ravenglass. The Wasdale Valley, where Harebeck Holidays is located, has lots of mountain views to liven up the scenery, including vistas over Scafell Pike, England's tallest peak. Let yourself get fully immersed in the countryside or try paddleboarding on Wast Water – and don't worry if your clothes come back a little on the damp side, as the site has a handy drying room where you can leave your boots and outdoor gear to air out. Other on-site facilities include a bathroom block with two separate showers and three toilets, as well as extras like a changing mat, step, toddler seat and hair dryer if you need them; bath towels are provided. Outside, there's secure lock-up bike storage available on request, as well as a washing-up unit with hand towels provided. When it comes to sourcing provisions, you can order eggs or a meat or veg pack from reception (at least 48 hours prior to arrival) or buy a disposable barbecue pack from site staff. Stocking up for the long haul? Harebeck Holidays is happy to take supermarket deliveries too. There's also a lovely coffee shop in Gosforth, just 15 minutes' walk away. You may also get the chance to go on a farm tour where the owners explain their agricultural methods and show off some of their prize animals.

喜欢 Nice little farm campsite. Basic but had everything we needed. Nice little touches with towels provided in the two showers. Owner friendly and helpful and there to meet us on arrival.

Sheep Fold 牧羊人小屋

喜欢 Perfect quiet location. Stunning views. The hut had everything you could need, the owners have put a lot of thought into these nice little touches. The ice box in the fridge was an added bonus in the weather. The hut would be perfect all year round. The farm cats were a lovely addition watching them wander about and sunbath.

来自经理: We have tried to make Sheep Fold shepherds hut and our Owl Hoot Pod homely yet practical. Our Glamping units are all suitable for year round stays as they all have heating and are well insulated. We have had people stay in our bowtop in February and say they were nice and cosy.
We have gravel pitches for motorhomes and our showerblock is heated with lovely warm water. We are open all year round even over Christmas and New Year.

喜欢 the facilities where excellent. there was a box on the wall with some essentials in like marge and jam. the showers where included in the price and towels , shampoo etc. wher provided

来自经理: Marg is not included in my honesty shed it was a box to keep matches dry that the label had fallen off!
I sell Jam, Smores kits when available, disposable barbecues and a few other items.
If anyone leaves shampoo or shower gel when they leave it is left for others to use if they want.
I do supply towels and bath mats and the showerblock is heated with warm showers all at no extra cost.

A great little site, friendly owners…

来自经理: We try to help guests where we can offering our local knowledge if asked. When there is no cloud down to lower levels there are fabulous views of fells surrounding the Wasdale Valley with Harter Fell and Coniston Old Man in the distance.

Yes my mower was broken and needed a part imported from Germany even though it is a British make. We are currently trying to bring the place back up to our usual standards, Glad you enjoyed your stay.

喜欢 We loved staying on the farm, looking out over the fields to the cows & sheep, Meeting the farm cats.
Such a peaceful location, I slept better than I do at home.
There was everything we needed there, bedding, pillows & towels.
Heater, air fryer, toaster, little fridge & kettle plus plates and cutlery.

We would definitely stay again 💕

喜欢 We went to sleep listening to the birds and woke listening to the birds , very peaceful and quiet, especially as there was only us and another van there .
Toilets & shower spotlessly clean .
Seascale beach 10 minutes drive away .

For time along the coast, treat yourself to an ice cream at Seascale beach (10 minutes), explore Whitehaven (25 minutes) and its Georgian port or set off to spot seabirds on the cliffs around St Bees (20 minutes). Rock climbing, scrambling, guided walks, bike hire and horseback riding are all available in the local area. To keep the kids happy, take them to permanent activity centres like go-karting in Maryport (45 minutes) or the indoor climbing wall at Kendal (an hour and 20 minutes).
