Van de manager: We are in the Lake District National Park where signs need to be unobtusive. At the end of our lane there is a sign for Thornbank Farm, with a picture of cows and sheep on it and others from our milk co-op with the farm name on. and smaller ones for Harebeck Cottage. Smaller Directional signs are there for our glamping site.
If it is night time these may not be as easily seen as they are set back a little from the main road.

Ik was blij met The caravan was very cosy, with a little fan heater to keep it warm during an unseasonably cold June. The owners were friendly and lent me an air fryer from one of the other pods. This was alongside a kettle, mini fridge and toaster. There were lovely views from the caravan while having my breakfast.

The showers were hot and there were towels and a hair dryer in the bathroom. Very welcome after a soggy walking day! The owners kindly took my very wet boots into the house to dry overnight, which was wonderful.

It's also a cat lovers heaven! Very friendly with a bunch of tiny kittens running about.

Ik was niet blij met It would have been extra helpful to have a bit more info in advance - that bedding is provided, so no need to bring your own and which appliances are in which caravan etc. just to help with food planning and packing.

Van de manager: You made friends with Mopsy my favourite car she is friendly and quiet.
On the description on pitchup it does state bedding and towels are provided. It also states there is a light , toaster, kettle and minifridge in thr bowtop.
Descriptions for the Shepherds hut and Pod are seperate.
I will look onto this to ensure the site has the correct information displayed in the correct place.
I only provide travel advice when contacting guests.

Van de manager: Thank you for leaving a review. We are located just off the A595 within easy reach of the Wasdale, Eskdale and Ennerdale valleys and only about an hours journey from most Lake District Attractions.
We do not charge extra for dogs, extra people, nor for using our showers or hook ups.

Ik was blij met Really welcoming owner and awesome location.

Toilets and shower nice and clean.

Kids loved the working farm and the cats!!

Van de manager: Thank you for your review. The site is quiet even though we are not far from the main A595. Also farmyard sounds are not heard as pitches and glamping units are at the opposite end of the farmyard to the farm buildings. You may hear the odd bleat of a sheep or lowing of a cow as they pasture fields nearby.

Ik was blij met Friendly owners, quiet site with stunning views of the Western Fells and lots of character. Facilities were clean and well kept, good sized pitch.

Ik was blij met Really enjoyed our stay at Harebeck made personal by Brian and Cathryn bringing us the Wasdale Explorer Shuttle Bus timetables! Was able to climb Scafell and get back in time for a wonderful meal at the Campervan with gorgeous views. Close to Gosforth with local pubs and eateries. Facilities everything you needed.

Van de manager: All our pitches and glamping units look out over our fields to the magnificent views of the fells beyond. Our site is right at the far end of our farmyard so farm noise is kept to a minimum. So gald you enjoyed your stay and thank you for leaving a review.

Ik was blij met Stayed in the shepherds hut 'Sheepfold'. Well equipped for cooking, Inc airfryer, Slow cooker, microwave. Underfloor heating kept it cosy. Little outdoor seating area. Surrounded by beautiful scenery.
Short drive to Seascale for beach and local Co-op store.
Short drive to Muncaster Castle and Ravenglass heritage railway.

Ik was niet blij met Bed settee could do with being renewed as starting to sag on the 'seat side' so a little uncomfortable to sleep on.
