Syntes om We were the only people there!
The farm cats, the kittens were particularly friendly, especially the all black girl!
Quiet location with nice views and the owners were non intrusive. Facilities were clean enough for our liking.

Fra bestyreren: I am usually only full on Bank Holidays and some weekends through the summer. During the day most people are out and about exploring the peace and quiet of the Western Lakes, evenings are quite quiet too as all the fresh air and excercise people get while out and about means most are tucked up early in evening.
When the site is busy I do clean the showerblock twice a day. Early morning then early afternoon.

Fra bestyreren: Sorry you found the cats were not to your liking ,we do have a few. Some like to visit guests while others are quite feral and some are strays. I have been extremely busy since December with my father being ill and dying then my brother and his family needing support due to my brother being extremely ill in hospital, unfortuneately something has to give.
I hope the next few months are fine and dry them I can make the place tidy and more welcoming again.

Syntes om Loved the scenery, the atmosphere and authenticity of the farm. Our children loved seeing the animals, especially the young cows and the cats/kittens.
The site is just what we needed.

Fra bestyreren: We are delighted to welcome children to our farm which is a traditional family farm with the add on of our glamping site and holiday cottage. We usually have calves around all year. as we calve our cows all year round, with ewes and lambs about from November through to March. Everything on our farm has its rythm. Farmyard Tours can be boooked prior to arrival or just ask as soon as you arrive and we will try to fit you in around our other tasks.

Syntes om I liked the quiet location, with the beautiful views of Scarfell Pike. We stayed in one of the pods which had everything we needed, plus more! The shower/toilet was clean and the showers were hot. The owners were friendly and welcoming.

Fra bestyreren: Thank you for your review. A hot shower to relax the muscles after a day hiking Scafell Pike is good to come back to. We try to make our glamping units like a home from home and even I find them peaceful when cleaning and making ready for guests.

Syntes om we loved our stay here and would defiantly stay here again if we are in the area , lovely peaceful feel to the place and we even had a walk around the farm on the Sunday morning . the hosts were lovely and couldn't do enough for us . love the place

Fra bestyreren: So pleased you enjoyed your stay. Will be delighted to welcome you back. If I need to chill as a host all it takes is a walk around the glamping paddock to put me back on track and leave me feeling at peace and refreshed.

Syntes om Nice little farm campsite. Basic but had everything we needed. Nice little touches with towels provided in the two showers. Owner friendly and helpful and there to meet us on arrival.

Fra bestyreren: We have a heated showerblock with warm showers and provide towels and bathmats for customers to use as we dont want customers having damp towels in their vans as they travel. There is a small honesty shed selling disposable barbecues, smores kits, a variety of home made jams and other bits and pieces. we do not offer a fully stocked shop as we want other businesses in the area to benefit from our guests custom.
We do offer a farmyard tour where you will meet some animals and learn about our way of living and farming, our ethos being towards sustainability and helping the environment.
We do not charge extra for more than 2 people in your van, your dog or for using the electricity or the showers.
There is an outdoor kitchen for children, a play area and items in the outdoor hut for them to play with along with a slide and wendy house for littlies.

We do have a welcome folder in our showerblock with suggestions of places to visit or eat at nearby.

Syntes om Perfect quiet location. Stunning views. The hut had everything you could need, the owners have put a lot of thought into these nice little touches. The ice box in the fridge was an added bonus in the weather. The hut would be perfect all year round. The farm cats were a lovely addition watching them wander about and sunbath.

Fra bestyreren: We have tried to make Sheep Fold shepherds hut and our Owl Hoot Pod homely yet practical. Our Glamping units are all suitable for year round stays as they all have heating and are well insulated. We have had people stay in our bowtop in February and say they were nice and cosy.
We have gravel pitches for motorhomes and our showerblock is heated with lovely warm water. We are open all year round even over Christmas and New Year.

Syntes om the facilities where excellent. there was a box on the wall with some essentials in like marge and jam. the showers where included in the price and towels , shampoo etc. wher provided

Fra bestyreren: Marg is not included in my honesty shed it was a box to keep matches dry that the label had fallen off!
I sell Jam, Smores kits when available, disposable barbecues and a few other items.
If anyone leaves shampoo or shower gel when they leave it is left for others to use if they want.
I do supply towels and bath mats and the showerblock is heated with warm showers all at no extra cost.
