As you can understand our entertainment is very popular and it is difficult to anticipate the demand for seating within the clubhouse. We will take your feedback on board and improve this aspect for the future.
Due to the rural location of our site, the phone signal is intermittent. Unfortunately, this is out of our hands. Regarding the Wi-Fi on site, due to the large size of the park the signal strength is weaker in some areas on site (strongest signal at Reception or the Clubhouse). This issue has been raised with our IT team and they are considering solutions to improve internet connectivity across the park.

We have strict rules on park that ask for reduced noise after 10pm and no noise from 12pm and we can only apologise that these were not followed but we will take your feedback on board, we are always looking in to ways that we can make improvements.

Well let me tell you this is NOT true! We arrived Thursday morning and departure Sunday evening. As soon as we arrived we went to the pool to book a slot and work out the situation but was told they were fully booked ALL weekend and we would not be able to swim for the whole duration of our stay. Its safe to say the kids cried for a long time! My advice would be to phone and book your swimming well in advance and hope for the best.
Also as it was very busy we couldnt get a table/seat at the covered take away are where bingo/kids club was held or inside the main entertainment room so couldnt enjoy the activities annoyingly. I think they were just overwhelmed by the number of visitors so i guess it wouldnt be like this out of season?

During our peak season we do recommend customers book their pool slots in advance through their online guest area on the Monkey Tree website to prevent disappointment. However we also offer walk-in slots for those who haven't booked online but you may have to queue. Due to safety regulations we have limited capacity and the wellbeing of our guests is of utmost importance.

The swimming pool doesn't need to be booked as we reserve some spaces for walk-ins, however if you want to guarantee your spot then booking is recommended. The limit of 2 slots per week is to allow all guests equal opportunity to access our pool facilities.

Electric hook up didn’tThis park was very disappointing! The pitches were not separated in any way so you were literally side by side and back to back with other tents which made the place EXTREMELY noisy until very late and not at all family friendly!
Toilet blocks were few and far between so it was a long walk and at night the camp ground had ZERI LIGHTING, so was pitch black! The toilets and showers were dirty and dilapidated. There were three toilet stalls in the femal block we used. One was locked closed the entire week and one had a broken toilet, rendering it useless, so there was one toilet for the women from 50-60 tents!
The pool was clean, but can only be used for two, two hour sessions for a one week stay, which must be pre booked. This was not mentioned when we booked and was extremely disappointing for our son, especially since it rained during our pre booked sessions.
This is definitely not a family site. Many adults were drunk, loud and swearing in the evenings. The lack of lighting and hygiene made it dangerous and sleep was nigh on impossible because the whole place was so noisy!!
Free WiFi was advertised but this is non existent. Also it says beaches are a few minutes away - another lie! It’s at least 15 mins to the closest beach.
The two stars I gave were for the pool, but even that was as huge let down. We would never return ir recommend monkey tree park.

The layout of our pitches is clear to see on the Park map, our standard electric grass pitches are on average 8m x 10m, giving guests plenty of space to set up their tents, touring caravans and awnings.
The Fir field, where you were staying, has four separate toilet blocks, all pitches are a short walk away from the nearest block.
Lighting is kept to a minimum to allow guests to wind down after a busy day enjoying the facilities or exploring the surrounding areas of natural beauty that Cornwall has to offer. Bright lights scattered across the Park would make this harder for families to sleep, therefore affecting their stay.
Our Housekeeping team work tirelessly throughout the season to keep all toilet blocks clean for guests to use - had any of these issues been raised at the time of your stay, they would have been happy to resolve them as soon as possible.
The popular Palm Bay swimming pool can be booked during Peak season, for two guaranteed two hour swimming slots.
Outside of these slots, you can use the pool on a walk-in basis, this gives everyone a chance to use the Pool and also adheres to Healthy and Safety regulations to keep all guests on Park safe during their stay.
Our Security team carry out regular patrols across the Park and any issues should be raised to them immediately. The team are available by phone 24 hours a day.
The free WiFi service we offer is available across the Park, the best place to connect to this would be closer to the facilities, such as the Beach club.
The closest beaches, Crantock and Holywell Bay are around 8-10 minutes away from the Park.

Swimming pool ( you have to book but if not busy you can get in) quite big with a shallow paddling area for non swimmers and a deeper area for swimmers too a sun lounger area as well and also seating area off of the restaurant where you can watch from. All in all we had a lovely stay and will definitely be back.
