Treacle Valley Campsite

Tyckte om I love this place so much. Such a relaxed vibe. I love that you can just turn up and choose your own pitch. They allow music and firepits too so which I love. Great view over the fields 👌 great clean toilet block. I'll be coming back again and again.

Tyckte inte om The field is on a slant, so when it's busy, it's hard to find somewhere flat. As we were using a roof tent, being on a slant wasn't an option.
A few rowdy groups, whilst we were there, playing loud music and shouting into the night, and the reception was only open between 8-10am.

I understand you were kindly offered a refund even when our policy does not require it but, because it took a few days to process, you have left us a bad review. I have now completed the partial refund. I am not even sure why you didn’t like our site. However I hope the matter is now settled.

Tyckte om This was our second year staying at treacle valley for the English riviera air show, this year we booked a bell tent for an easier set up.
We were sent an image of the tent prior to arrival and it was ready nearly 2 hours early, which was handy as we were only a few mins away so allowed us to set up and spend the evening out! The tent was clean and smelt fresh. The whole site is on a slope other than a few areas, but this gives beautiful views across the valley, and a lovely sunset! The site was quiet, clean (mostly!) and well maintained. The staff were super friendly and welcoming and we were pleased to realize they sold proper coffee in the mornings! Unsure how we missed this last year!
The site is fantastic location for local amenities, beautiful beaches and a great stop for the air show. There are multiple supermarkets/small shops less than 8 minute drive away, and you can be from tent to beach within 15 minutes via car! Our 7 year old enjoyed the little play park and it was a good way for her to make friends. We will be back and would love to stay in the horsebox next time!

Tyckte inte om The bin area was very full and quite messy and used sanitary products were just left on the floor in the bathroom- but really this was an issue from other people not respecting the site not the site itself. It’s just something to consider with the site being unmanned most of the time, other peoples behaviour can effect your stay. but you can tell when staff have been because the place is lovely and tidy!

Tyckte om Great, friendly campsite. We stayed in the converted horsebox, which was really well equipped and super comfortable. Facilities at the campsite were great, always nice and clean. There was a very relaxed atmosphere a result of giving people the option to choose their own pitch and location on the camping fields, and use firepits which is not very common these days.
Very tranquil valley, but really close to Torbay and all conveniences.
